MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Derek Williamson, So., Neoga, Ill. – Eastern Illinois
Williamson picked up a pair of top three finishes at the EIU Friday Night Special last weekend. He won the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.73 while placing third in the 400 meters (40.54).

CO -FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Breigh Jones, Jr., Memphis, Tenn. – Austin Peay
Jones broke the school record in the 400 meters as she took third with a time of 53.96 at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Her time is first in the OVC and ranks 40
th nationally. She also ranks 12
th in the nation among juniors in the 400 meters.
Ayonna Cartwright, Jr., Kansas City, Mo. – Southeast Missouri
Cartwright picked up a pair of first-place finishes at the Redhawks Invite last weekend. She won the 55 meters with a school record time of 6.94. It ranks first in the OVC and is tied 26
th nationally. She also won the 200 meters with an OVC-best time of 24.88.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Blake Smith, Sr., Jackson, Mo. – Southeast Missouri
Smith took second in the long jump at the Redhawks Inivite last weekend. His leap of 24’10.00” ranks second in the OVC and 22
nd in the nation. Smith also won the 55 meters with a OVC best time of 6.19 which also ranks 19
th nationally.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Angelica Anyaogu, Jr., West Lakeview, Minn. – Eastern Illinois
Anyaogu took first in the long jump at the Friday Night Special last weekend. Her leap of 19’00” ranks fourth in the OVC this season and is fifth all-time at Eastern Illinois.
