OVC Cross Country Teams Honored by USTFCCCA for Academic Excellence


Men's & Women's All-Academic Teams | Men's & Women's All-Academic Individuals

Five Ohio Valley Conference men's teams and seven women's teams earned All-Academic team status for the 2015 cross country season from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Both the men's and women's teams at Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State and Murray State were honored as were the women's team at Southeast Missouri and Tennessee Tech.

Nationally the USTFCCCA honored 171 men's teams and 205 women's teams at the Division I level. To qualify teams had to have a cumulative 3.00 GPA or greater.

In addition four individuals earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Those individuals were Belmont's Hannah Wittman, Eastern Illinois' Riley McInerney and Eastern Kentucky's Jaime Perales and Amos Kosgey. The quartet was among 160 women and 90 men in Division I who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have finished in the top 25 finishers (or 10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American at the national meet.
