NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee State swept visiting Belmont (25-20, 25-22, 25-21) on Tuesday night. With the win, the Tigers improve to 7-20 overall and 3-10 in the OVC while the Bruins fall to 12-13 overall and 7-6 in the OVC.
Rachel Henderson led Tennessee State 10 kills to go with four blocksin the match. Samantha Beltran dished out a team-best 17 assist while Megan Evans added 11. Cherlie Adorno-DeJesus led all players with 16 digs.
Belmont senior Arianna Person led all attackers with 11 kills. Her tally lifted her to No. 1 in all-time kills at Belmont. Classmate Emma Price added a match-high 26 assists while senior Ellie Ivancich finished with 10 digs.
