Jessica Twaddle and Jocelynn Rodgers provided all the offense Murray State needed to beat Eastern Kentucky Monday with two swings of the bat, as the Racers shutout the Colonels, 3-0, at Racer Field in Murray.

The only runs of the game took place in the third, an inning Brenna Finck began with a leadoff double. Two batters later, Twaddle drilled the first pitch of her at bat over the wall in left center to make it 2-0. In the very next at bat, Rodgers put her first pitch out of the park over the left field wall, capping all scoring at 3-0.

Mason Robinson went the distance in the game for the 17th time this season to earn her fifth shutout and move to 17-4 on the year. In seven complete innings, the senior allowed just three hits and a walk, while striking out five batters.

Offensively, Cayla Levins had two of Murray State's seven hits in the game and finished the day at 2-for-2.
