CO-MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Erick Rotich, So., Eldoret, Kenya – Eastern Kentucky
Rotich placed 15th out of over 100 competitors at the Raleigh Relays last week. His time of 14:08.5 is the first in the OVC and ranks seventh in the nation this season.
 
Quamel Prince, Sr., Nashville, Tenn.
Prince finished second in the 800-meters at the Weems Baskin Invitational last week. Hist time of 1:48.65 is the top time in the league and is fifth in the nation. He also ran a leg of the 4x400-meter team that placed ninth with an OVC-best time of 3:18.84. Prince was also a part of the 4x800-meter relay that took second.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Luisa Boschan, Jr., Berlin, Germany – Eastern Kentucky
Boschan placed 15th out of over 100 runners in the 5,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays. She notched a personal best time of 16:36.17. The time is first in the OVC and is currently 10th in the nation. It is also the fourth fastest in EKU history.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kareem Nicholas, Sr., Atlanta, Ga. – Tennessee State
Nicholas took first in the long jump at the Weems Baskin Invitational with a leap of 25’01.75”. The mark is first in the OVC this season and is also seventh in the nation. He also placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 49’09.75” which is tops in the league this year and is 25th in the nation.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Amber Hughes, Sr., Atlanta, Ga. – Tennessee State
Hughes placed third in the long jump at the Weems Baskin Invitational. Her leap of 20’04.50” is the top mark in the OVC and is fourth in the nation.
