CO-MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tom Koringo, Sr., Iten, Kenya – Eastern Kentucky
Koringo won the 1,500 meters at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational last week. His tim of 3:46.9 is the best in the OVC this season and ranks 64th in the NCAA East Region.
 
Quamel Prince, Sr., Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee State
Prince won the 800-meter hurdles at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational with a time of 1:48.21. That time is a personal best, ranks first in the OVC this year and 30th in the nation. He also ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay that placed third with an OVC season-best time of 3:13.77.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Amber Hughes, Sr., Atlanta, Ga. – Tennessee State
Hughes won the 100-meter hurdles at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational. Her time of 13.35 is the best in the OVC this year and is tied for 34th in the NCAA. She also placed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.34 which ranks fifth in the OVC. Hughes also ran legs of the 4x400-meter relay (3:41.51) and 4x100-meter relay (46.45). She also placed second in the long jump at the event.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kyle Washington-Scott, Sr., St. Louis, Mo. – Tennessee State
Washington-Scott placed fourth in the shot put at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational. His toss of 57’05” is a personal record and is best in the OVC this year. It also ranks 44th in the NCAA East Region.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chancis Jones, Sr., Chattanooga, Tenn. – Austin Peay
Jones took fourth in the long jump at the Memphis Invitational with a distance of 19’11.5”. That mark is a personal best and ranks third in the OVC and 42nd in the NCAA East. She also took third in the triple jump. Her jump of 42’04” is also a personal best and is second in the league this year. It also ranks 22nd in the NCAA East Region.
