TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Tennessee Tech baseball season came to an end with a 5-3 loss to host Florida State in the NCAA Baseball Regional on Sunday.
After the game was delayed nearly two and a half hours due to weather, the Golden Eagles (41-21) would take a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Collin Harris drew a bases loaded walk.
Florida State (41-21) would tie it an inning later only to see the Golden Eagles grab a 2-1 advantage on a RBI single by Ryan Flick.
But the Seminoles would grab the lead for good in the sixth inning with a pair of runs and increase its advantage to 5-2 wth a pair of runs in the eighth inning.
Trevor Putzig, Kevin Strohschein and Chris Brown each had two hits for Tennessee Tech.
All-OVC pick Ethan Roberts (1-4) took the loss after allowing three runs in 3.1 innings of relief.
