GAME NOTES: Eastern Kentucky will travel to Austin Peay for a Saturday contest. Both teams are 4-4 on the season and separated by one game in the OVC standings. The two teams have played 50 previous times, with Eastern Kentucky having won 44 of those meetings. EKU had won five-straight in the all-time series before Austin Peay pulled out the 31-24 victory, its first in Richmond since 1977. That game was tied at 24 in the fourth quarter when then freshman Jeremiah Oatsvall led his team on an eight-play, 62-yard drive which he capped with an eight-yard touchdown run with 53 seconds remaining. Oatsvall was 11-of-15 passing for 203 yards and two touchdowns while running for 64 yards and the game-winning score. Tim Boyle passed for 213 yard and two touchdowns for Eastern Kentucky. Austin Peay has won five-straight home games dating back to last season; that is its longest home winning streak since the 1980-81 season.

SCOUTING EASTERN KENTUCKY: Eastern Kentucky scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break a 17-17 tie and top Eastern Illinois 31-23. Eastern Illinois entered the game with only four interceptions thrown, but the Colonels were able to pick off two passes in the game, including on EIU's first play of the game (ending Johnathan Brantley's OVC-record 230-straight passes without a pick). The EKU defense now ranks fourth nationally in passes intercepted (13) and turnovers gained (21). Cornelius Floyd had one of those picks, added two pass breakups and six tackles. Sophomore Jaelin Carter had three of Eastern's four touchdowns on the day, catching passes of 34 and 18 yards and running a score in from five yards out in the fourth quarter; he finished the game with 171 yards of total offense. LJ Scott had a career-high 151 rushing yards on 17 carries (8.9 ypc). Scott currently ranks third in the OVC in rushing (74.8 yards/game). After injuries at quarterback, Alphonso Howard came into the game and was 4-of-4 passing for 67 yards and a touchdown. Junior Aaron Patrick recorded his 16th career sack, taking over sole possession of sixth place on EKU's career sack list; Patrick is second in the OVC and 27th nationally in sacks (0.75/game).

SCOUTING AUSTIN PEAY: Austin Peay tallied 566 yards of total offense (its second-highest output of the season) in its 41-10 Homecoming victory over Tennessee Tech. Sophomore quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall had a career day, tying the APSU single-game record with five touchdown passes (55, 4, 65, 37 and 8 yards). Overall, he completed 15-of-19 passes for 279 yards and now ranks second nationally in passing yards per completion (17.09) and eighth in passing efficiency (160.5). Oatsvall, who had four touchdown passes earlier this season against Jacksonville State, is the first Governor to pass for four or more touchdowns in a game twice during a season since 1968. DJ Montgomery hauled in three of the touchdown passes (a career-high), finishing the game with four receptions for 111 yards. Baniko Harley added two touchdown catches and finished the game with 86 receiving yards. Kentel Williams, who ranks third nationally in all-purpose yards (170.83/game) had a game-high 97 rushing yards on 16 carries (6.1 ypc) and is now ranked first nationally in rushing yards per carry (9.25). Gunnar Scholato had seven tackles and a sack in the victory; Scholato ranks 19th nationally in tackles/game (9.6).
