MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jamaine Coleman, Sr., Preston, England – Eastern Kentucky

Coleman placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational last week. His time of 8:42.20 ranks first in the OVC this year. It’s also first in the East Region and fifth in the nation.

Co-FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ciara Scott, Sr., Bowling Green, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky

Scott ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational in an OVC-best time of 10:31.30. The time currently ranks 21st in the East Region. 

Jabreuna Brimlett, Jr. Poplar Bluff, Mo. – Murray State
Brimlett picked up a pair of top 2 finishes at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational. She won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 13.37 which ranks first in the OVC this year and 22nd in the nation.  She also ran a leg of the 4x100 meter relay that finished second with a school record time of 45.60. That time also ranks first in the OVC this season.

Co- MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Pearce, Gr., Villa Grove, Ill. – Eastern Illinois

Pearce picked up a trio of top 2 finishes at the EIU Big Blue Classic last week. He won the discus with a throw of 168-09 which is ninth on the EIU all-time list. The mark also ranks first in the OVC and 52nd in the West Region. He placed second in the shot put with a mark of 55-0-7 which is also ninth on the school’s all-time list. The distance is 2nd in the league this year and 45th in the West Region. Pearce also finished second in the javelin with a toss of 164-02 which ranks fifth in the OVC this year. 

Tequan Claitt, Jr., Lexington, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky
Claitt placed fourth in the high jump at the Raleigh Relays last week. His mark of 6-11.75 is the top distance in the OVC this year. It also ranks 11th in the East Region and 18th in the country.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Savannah Amato, Jr., Delaware, Ohio – Austin Peay

Amato placed sixth in the pole vault at the Florida Relays. Her mark of 12-11.50 is the best in the OVC this year. It also ranks her 24th in the East Region and is tied for 47th in the nation.
