Eastern Kentucky Men and Tennessee Tech Women Win the 2018 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Eastern Kentucky men and Tennessee Tech women captured the 2018 OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship titles. 

The Colonel men earned 170 points while Belmont finished second with 138 points while Southeast Missouri was third with 136. Eastern Illinois finished fourth with 113 points followed by SIUE (102), Tennessee State (95), UT Martin (33) and Morehead State (23). 

On the women's side, Tech earned 151 points while Murray State placed second with 101 points. Tennessee State finished third with 87 points followed by Eastern Kentucky (83), Southeast Missouri (80), Eastern Illinois (79), Jacksonville State (70.5), SIUE (58), Austin Peay (54.5), Bemlont (43), UT Martin (9) and Morehead State (3).

Three records were broken on the last day of the championships. Tennessee Tech's Na'Asha Robinson set a new 200 meter mark (23.02) while Tech's 4x100-meter relay (45.00) and 4x400-meter relay teams (3:37.74) also set new champinship records.

Eastern Kentucky's Rick Erdman was named the Men's Coach of the Year while Wayne Angel was tabbed the Women's Coach of the Year. 

SIUE's Julian Harvey took home Male Athlete of the Championship honors while Tech's Micayla Rennick was named the Female Athlete of the Championship
