OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Slattery claimed his second medalist crown in as many weeks, taking first place by three shots at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational held at the Gateway National Golf Links. The senior carded rounds of 71-65-67 to finish at 203 (-10) to top the field of 96 competitiors. The score was the third-lowest 54-hole total in school history, and a career-best for Slattery. His performance helped SIUE to the team field in a field of 17 teams, including five total OVC squads; it marked the team's second-straight win at the event.

OVC Female Golfer of the Week

Vega claimed medalist honors at the Chris Banister Golf Classic held at the Silver Lakes Golf Course in Oxford. The senior carded rounds of 69-73-73 to finish at 215 (-1) and top the field of 39 competitors by six shots to mark her first career win. Her performance helped Jacksonville State to a first-place finish out of seven teams, including five total OVC schools. Through six rounds this season Vega ranks second in the OVC in stroke average (72.5).
