MOREHEAD, Ky. -
Southeast Missouri (9-4, 6-1) scored a season-high five goals in a dominating 5-1 win over Morehead State (4-10-1, 2-4-1) Sunday afternoon.

The red-hot Redhawks won their fourth-straight game and posted their seventh victory in eight contests. SEMO also swept the Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State road swing for the first time in 12 years.

Five different SEMO players scored goals to propel the Redhawks to their sixth Ohio Valley Conference victory. Three of those scores came in the second half alone.

SIUE 3, EASTERN ILLINOIS 2
CHARLESTON, Ill. -
SIUE scored a golden goal in the first overtime session to beat the Panthers 3-2.  EIU fell to 3-8-2 overall, 2-4-1 in the OVC.  SIUE improved to 5-5-4 overall, 3-3-1 in the OVC.

SIUE used a pressure attack in both halves of the match as they finished with 22 total shots which were evenly spread out.  The Cougars had ten shots in the first period, ten in the second and two in the extra session.

The Cougars found the net in the 14th minute as goalkeeper Jensen Schoch started a transition break that was flicked on by a header by Mackenzie Litzsinger.  Becca Jostes corralled the ball in the corner and beat two EIU defenders on an attack to the goal for the first score.

EIU was able to counter the pressure of SIUE with some good attacks of their own.  Senior Lexi Ketterhagen had a solid left footed shot on goal midway through the first half that was saved.

EIU broke through early in the second half as Haylee Renick took a pass from Ketterhagen in transition and scored on a low shot to the net to even the match in the 56th minute,

Litzsinger would give SIUE the advantage again in the 64th minute as she had a quick touch of the ball for a shot that was played into the box by Courtney Benning and Jostes.

EIU would even the match up in the 70th minute as Sarah DeWolf had a hard shot that hit the cross bar and bounced back out near the top of the goal box.  Ketterhagen was there to send the tying goal home.

EIU continued the pressure minutes later trying to secure a win in regulation as Schoch made two good saves on chances by DeWolf and Renick in the 71st minute.   SIUE had one late chance in regulation as well as Angel Ikeda had her shot hit off the post in the 86th minute.

In overtime, SIUE quickly moved into the attack zone.  Sara Teteak was able to save the first shot on net by Andrea Frerker but the rebound was reset by the Cougars and Emma Dutko headed home the winner off a cross by Jostes.

TENNESSEE TECH 1, JACKSONVILLE STATE 0
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -
The Tennessee Tech soccer team continued its roll of late, as the Golden Eagles used a first-half score and a lights out defensive effort to notch a 1-0 win at Jacksonville State Sunday afternoon for the club's third consecutive victory.

Tech (6-5-4, 4-1-2 OVC) limited the Gamecocks to only four shots in the match, including just one in the second half, en route to a second straight shutout after blanking Murray State Friday night at home. TTU's three match winning streak is a season best, while the back-to-back clean sheets marks the first time the Golden Eagles have claimed consecutive shutouts this year.

Offensively, TTU found success early behind a Kendall Powell goal in the 34th minute, the Cookeville native's third goal in the last two matches after registering a pair of scores in Friday's nod over the Racers. Powell slotted one inside the far post after receiving a pass from freshman Meg Ivey, who intercepted a JSU feed moments earlier.

With the score, Powell took over the team lead in goals with five, while Ivey tallied her second assist of the year.

Isabelle Austin earned her third shutout of the season with four saves in the contest. The 5-foot-8 red-shirt junior halted three attempts in the first half and recorded one stop in the second stanza.

Jacksonville State keeper Morgan Lerch was kept busy with eight saves, as the Golden Eagles put pressure on the Collinsville, Ill. product behind nine shots on-goal.

Tina Marolt paced the purple and gold in shots with three, while Powell and rookies Tina Marolt and Carme Peirau were the club leaders with two shots on-goal. The Gamecocks (3-12-0, 0-7-0) had four different players record one shot, using attempts by Cynthia Bagozzi, Nadia Plawiuk, Cheyenne Carden and Cephana Deane over the course of 90 minutes.

16 different Golden Eagles appeared in the match, with Austin, Rachel Blow, Macy Carter, Ashely Grimes, Kaitie Shipley and Nora Vicsek all going the distance in the affair.
