The Panthers are now 3-8-4 on the season, 2-4-3 in the OVC.  Austin Peay is 4-8-4 overall, 3-4-2 on the year.

UT MARTIN 2, TENNESSEE TECH 1
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -
The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team picked up a 2-1 road victory at Tennessee Tech on a wet and chilly Friday afternoon.

UT Martin looked to strike early in the contest and did just that as Hendrikje Baurmann found the back off the net off an assist by Jill Hildreth less than three minutes into the match. The showdown would remain a one-goal contest until the Skyhawks added to their margin in the 80th minute off a goal by Isabel Almarsdottir set up by assists from junior Alice Adams and Kamryn Chappell. Tennessee Tech would score a goal in the final minute but could not find the equalizer.

Junior Bella Roberts paced the team with three shots on goal while a total of eight different Skyhawks tallied multiple shot attempts en route to a game-high 18 shots. Baurmann’s goal marked the fifth of the season for the sophomore while Almarsdottir found her first career goal as a Skyhawk.

Goalkeeper Erica Myers was solid, holding the Golden Eagles scoreless for the first 89 minutes of the contest. The defense would prove to be supportive of their keeper as Myers tallied just one save.

The loss dropped the Golden Eagles (6-6-5, 4-2-3 OVC) into a tie for fourth place. Cassidy Bereda paced the team with four shot attempts while Tennessee Tech found its lone goal from Katie Shipley off an assist from Rachel Blow. Goalkeeper Isabelle Austin would play tough, tallying 10 saves while allowing two goals.

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 2, JACKSONVILLE STATE 0
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -
Ohio Valley Conference leader Southeast Missouri (10-4-1, 7-1-1) recorded its 10th win of the season with a dominating 2-0 victory over Jacksonville State (4-13, 1-8) on a chilly fall night at Houck Field Friday.

The Redhawks scored both of their goals in the first 17 minutes of action, moving to a 7-0 record when leading at halftime.

Hailey Block put SEMO on the board scoring her seventh goal of the season off a pass from Jordan Nelson. Nelson passed the ball from the left side and Block found the net from inside the box with 15:25 on the clock. This was Block's fifth-consecutive game with a goal.

Katie Lever paved the way with a game-high five shots. Lexi Grote followed with four, while Block and Natalie Jackson added three apiece.

Bailey Redden recorded her fourth shutout of the season in goal.

SEMO reached double-digit wins for the first time since 2014. The 2014 season was the last time the Redhawks won an OVC regular season as they were named co-champions with Murray State.

MURRAY STATE 3, BELMONT 0
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The Belmont women's soccer team lost its first home match of the season at the hands of Murray State 3-0 on Friday afternoon at Rose Park.

Belmont knocked away Murray State's passes in the first 15 minutes of the match, only allowing one shot opportunity to the Racers during that stretch. The Bruins managed to prevent any offensive looks at the net from OVC scoring leader Miyah Watford in the opening minutes, but Murray State set up their primary offensive weapon.

The Racers got on the board first, with Watford delivering the go-ahead goal off assists from Lily Strader and Rebecca Kubin.

The Bruins looked to tie up the score with nine minutes left in the first half, earning a free kick after a Murray State foul. Belmont got a clean shot opportunity that looked to be going in the back of the net, but Murray State goalkeeper Jamie Skarupsky leaped into the air to knock it out of play and keep the Racers out in front.

Belmont looked to respond in the following period, but Murray State took away the Bruins' passes and collected two quick shots in the opening five minutes of the second half. Murray State collected two consecutive free kick opportunities following fouls, with Abby Jones converting an unassisted goal off the second free kick in the 55th minute to extend the lead to two goals. The Racers limited Belmont's offensive chances in the final 45 minutes, holding the Bruins to three shots in the second half.

Watford capped off Murray State's scoring, breaking away for a one-on-one shot attempt that resulted in an unassisted goal and her second score of the match.
