CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri's Haley Block scored a goal just over six minutes into the second overtime to give the Redhawks the win over SIUE on Thursday.
With the win, Southeast Missouri improves to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in OVC play. SIUE falls to 3-5-3 overall and 1-2-2 in leauge play.
The Redhawks got on the board first as Abby Tremain found the back of the next for the firt time this season at the 66:46 mark.
With just 12 seconds left in regulation, SIUE's Courtney Benning netted the game tying goal to send the match into overtime.
Southeast Missouri's Bailey Redden gave up just one goal and made 10 saves in the win. SIUE's Jensen Schoch made nine saves and allowed two goals.
