MOREHEAD STATE 81, TRANSYLVANIA 55
MOREHEAD, Ky.
- Despite a slow start and an early deficit, Morehead State basketball turned on the gas midway through the first half and kept it on in the final half as the Eagles toppled Transylvania (Ky.) 81-55 Thursday for its second win over the Pioneers in as many days.

Morehead State (3-4) shot 52 percent overall, including 57 percent in the second half, and wiped away a 12-2 deficit in the first six minutes to outscore the visitors 23-5 in the final eight minutes of the opening half.

Freshman forward Johni Broome led all players with his second career double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds) as four Eagles dotted double figures in the point column. Broome was 9-of-10 from the floor and also added three blocked shots. He is now hitting 59 percent for the year in his first collegiate season.

Senior forward James Baker, Jr., hit a bucket at the 5:29 mark to give his team a 24-22 lead, and the Eagles never relinquished that lead the rest of the night.

Skyelar Potter scored 12 points, while the Coopers (DeVon and Ta'lon) had 11 and 10, respectively. For DeVon, it was his sixth consecutive game in double figure scoring.

The Eagles committed only 12 turnovers, tying the season-best in fewest floor miscues
