This week's episode features first-year Eastern Illinois head football coach
Chris Wilkerson and the EIU football program. Wilkerson was named head coach at his alma mater in January 2022.
Wilkerson played for the Panthers from 1991-94 under Hall of Fame coach
Bob Spoo (1987-2011). Spoo, who passed away in 2018, led the Panthers to four OVC Championships and along the way coached Wilkerson. After graduation Wilkerson would serve as an assistant coach under Spoo from 1995 through 2001 and later be an assistant coach at San Jose State and Dartmouth before becoming head coach at the University of Chicago (2013-21).
Wilkerson won 51 games as the head coach at Chicago.
