MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State swept visiting Eastern Illinois in three sets (25-20, 32-30, 29-27) on Thursday. The Eagles improved to 6-4 in league play and 10-11 overall while the Panthers dropped to 7-3 in OVC action and 13-10 overall.
Maycie Welborn led Morehead State with 15 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Sydney Wyman and Abby Hulsman each had 12 kills in the win. M.E. Hargan dished out 43 assists while Peighton Isley had 19 didgs.
EIU' Kaitlyn Flynn led all players with 24 kills while Giovana Larregui Lopez added 10. Catalina Rochaix had a team-best 22 assists while Christina Martinez Mundo had 18 digs.
