OVC Male Golfer of the Month

Ruthey had a pair of top three finishes in his two events during the month of October, averaging 69.8 strokes per round. He was second out of 93 golfers at the Big O Classic with rounds of 71-69-71 and then finished tied for third at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate after scores of 71-67-70. His second round score of 67 at the OBU/ODX event tied his career low, while his total of 208 at that tournament was a 54-hole career-best. His play helped the SIUE team to back-to-back runner-up finishes. Ruthey currently ranks third in the OVC in scoring average (71.5) during the full fall season.

OVC Female Golfer of the Month

Dawson led Little Rock in a pair of tournaments in October with a 74.83 scoring average and the low round of the month, shooting a 4-under 68. Dawson tied for 10th at the Little Rock Invitational with a 1-over 217, earning OVC Golfer of the Week honors, then finished tied for 27th at the Little Rock White Sands Bahamas Invitational. Five of her six rounds were a 76 or better as she boasted a 74.67 scoring average in five fall events. For the entire fall season, Dawson ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring average (74.7).
