COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech defeated Trevecca , 69-52, on Thursday night.
The Golden Eagles' Maaliya Owens scored a game-high 21 points, including hitting five three-pointers in the win. She also posted seven rebounds and five blocks.
Regan Hurst scored 17 points, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the line while Anna Walker added 10 points in the game.
Tennessee Tech will be back in action on Sunday as it travels to Northern Kentucky.
PURDUE 100, SIUE 58
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue shot 57 percent in the game and held SIUE to just 19 points in the first half as the Cougars fell 100-58 on Friday evening at Mackey Arena.
SIUE dropped to 0-3 on its 2022 campaign while the Boilermakers remain perfect at 3-0.
Niya Danfort led SIUE with 13 points while Ajulu Thatha and Molly Sheehan added 11. Thatha also led all players with eight rebounds.
The Cougars found themselves trailing by 33 points at halftime with Purdue connecting on 63 percent of its shots. SIUE came out of the locker room with new energy and scored 39 points, going toe-to-toe with Purdue in the last two quarters. The Cougars began the third with 10-0 scoring run.
The Cougars finished the second half shooting 54 percent from the floor. SIUE also connected on 46 percent of its three-ball attempts after halftime.
Abbey Ellis led Purdue with 29 points off the bench while Jeanae Terry and Lasha Petree added 17.
The Cougars continue their nonconference slate with a matchup against Memphis on Saturday, Nov. 19 at First Community Arena. First tip is scheduled for 1:00 p.m and will be streamed on ESPN+.
MISSOURI 60, UT MARTIN 55
COLUMBIA, Mo. - UT Martin dropped a 60-55 road contest to Missouri on Thursday night.
Kenley McCarn led the Skyhawks with 15 points to go with seven rebounds and two steals. Anaya Brown nearly had a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds while Josie STorey also had nine points.
The Skynawks will be back in action as they face Marshall in the first game of the Hostillo Community Classic in Savannah, Ga.
