AUBURN 70, LITTLE ROCK 48
AUBURN, Ala.
-  Little Rock shot a season-low 29.5% from the field and committed 17 turnovers Wednesday, dropping a 70-48 decision at Auburn.
 
Faith Lee, who led the Trojans (1-4) with 10 points and was the only player in Maroon and Silver to reach double figures, played just under 26 minutes before fouling out early in the fourth quarter.
 
Little Rock's shooting mark was under 25% for most of the game as Auburn (5-2) used their size and eight blocks to limit the Trojans' ability to get to the net, as well as a 48-41 rebounding advantage.
 
In addition to cold shooting, the Trojans committed 17 turnovers in the loss with only eight assists credited on 18 made baskets.
 
Auburn was led by Honesty Scott-Grayson's 20 points while Romi Levy contributed a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Jaiyah Harris-Smith scored nine points for Little Rock on 4 of 10 shooting while Sha'nequa Henry scored a career-high eight points. Tia Harvey and Angelique Francis also added eight points each. Mesi Triplett grabbed a career-high nine rebounds to lead the Trojans on the boards while Harris-Smith added seven.
 
Little Rock returns to action on Saturday when the Trojans will play at Central Arkansas in the Governor's I-40 Showdown presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield in Conway, Arkansas. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. 

MOREHEAD STATE 104, BRESCIA 54
MOREHEAD, Ky.
- The Morehead State women's basketball team scored 47 points off of turnovers on the way to a 104-54 victory against the Brescia Bearcats Wednesday evening.

The Eagles had four players score in double figures, led by Crystal Corley, who had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sophie Baydanov added 15 points, four assists and three steals off the bench and Veronica Charles helped out with 15 points, four assists and seven steals.

Morehead State utilized fantastic ball movement in Wednesday's game, piling up 26 assists on 36 made field goals. Individually, Sandra Lin was on top of the distribution list for the Eagles with six assists and Melissa Secchiaroli also contributed with four assists of her own.

Morehead State forced 37 Brescia turnovers while committing 16 themselves in Wednesday's game. The Eagles turned those takeaways into 47 points on the offensive end of the floor. Charles' seven steals led the way for Morehead State.

The Eagles return to action Friday against Evansville. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 PM and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network. 

After playing to a 2-2 tie early in the game, Morehead State went on a 7-0 run with 7:41 left in the first quarter, culminating in a bucket from Sophie Benharouga, to take a 9-2 lead. The Eagles then added six points to that lead by the end of the period and entered the quarter break with a 20-7 advantage. Morehead State did most of its first quarter damage in the paint, scoring 14 of its 20 points close to the basket.

Morehead State built that first quarter lead to 25-11 before going on a 6-0 run starting at the 7:24 mark in the second period, highlighted by a bucket from Janay Rose, to increase its lead to 31-11. The Eagles proceeded to tack on eight points to that lead and enjoyed a 46-18 advantage heading into halftime. Morehead State was strong from deep in the period, knocking down four three-point shots to account for 12 of its 26 points.

Following intermission, Morehead State continued to expand its advantage, pushing it to 56-24 before going on an 8-0 run, punctuated by a basket from Tolisha Walker, to expand its lead further to 64-24 with 5:17 to go in the third. Before the third period was over, the Eagles added five points to that lead and entered the fourth quarter with a 77-32 edge. Morehead State played well near the basket, scoring 16 of its 31 points in the paint.

Morehead State kept widening that lead, expanding it to 92-41 before going on a 7-0 run, finished off by Corley's layup, to grow the lead to 99-41 with 4:26 to go in the contest. The Bearcats narrowed the margin somewhat before the game was over, but the Eagles still cruised the rest of the way for the 104-54 win. Morehead State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring 14 of its 27 points in the paint.

MURRAY STATE 71, UT MARTIN 52
MARTIN, Tenn.
- UT Martin fell to visiting Murray State, 71-52, on Wednesday. 

Sharnecce Currie-Jelks led the Skyhawks with 13 points and nine rebounds. She added two steals and one steal. Shae Littleford added 11 points and three steals while Paige Pipkin had 10 points, four assists and three steals. 

UT Martin is back in action on Sunday when it travels to Vanderbilt.
