CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois defeated visiting Southern Indiana in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-22) on Wednesday night.
The Panthers' Giovana Larregui Lopez recorded a match-high 26 kills on a .500 hitting percentage in the win. She was the lone EIU player in double-figures in kills. Christina Martinez Mundo recorded a team-best 20 digs while Catalina Rochaix dished out 43 assists.
Lean Anderson led USI with 12 kills to go with six digs while Abby Bednar added 11 kills in the match. Carly Sobieralski notched 31 assists to go with six digs.
