- The Tennessee State women's basketball team got an 18-point showing from the bench, but fell 93-27 to the Baylor Bears on the road Thursday.

Sierra McCullough led the Lady Tigers (4-6) with four points, three steals, and two blocks. Zyion Shannon also tacked on four points off the bench, and Shonneyvelle Regalado chipped in with six points off the bench.

The Tennessee State defense was a problem in Thursday's game, forcing 19 Baylor turnovers. Those takeaways turned into four points on the offensive end of the floor. McCullough's three steals led the way individually for the Lady Tigers.

How It Happened

Tennessee State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 27-13 at the end of the first quarter.

The Lady Tigers continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 45-19 halftime deficit.

Tennessee State's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Lady Tigers faced a 71-23 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Tennessee State played well near the basket, scoring two of its four points in the paint.

Tennessee State could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 93-27. Tennessee State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring four of its four points in the paint.

TSU will be back in action on Wednesday morning as they are set to take on Wilberforce. Tip-off is slated for 11:00 a.m. 

ALABAMA 69, LITTLE ROCK 44
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.
- Little Rock fell at Alabama, 69-44, on Thursday night. 

Faith Lee led the Trojans with 16 points. She added one rebound, one assist and two steals. 

Nikki Metcalfe scored 13 points and brought down four rebounds in the game. 

Angelique Francis recorded nine points and a team-best five rebounds while Jaiyah Harris-Smith dished out a team-high six assists. 

Little Rock is back in action on Sunday as it hosts Arkansas State.
