- OVC Player of the Year KJ Williams had 18 points and Tevin Brown added 17 as Murray State outlasted San Francisco 92-87 in overtime.

It marked the fifth all-time NCAA Tournament win for Murray State, joining wins in 1988, 2010, 2012 and 2019.  The victory was the 31st of the season for Murray State, tying the OVC all-time record set by the 2009-10 and 2011-12 Murray State teams.

For the OVC it marked the third overall NCAA Tournament win in the last three NCAA Tournaments and the seventh win in the last 13 Tournaments.

Jordan Skipper-Brown came off the bench to contribute 12 points, 10 rebounds and a steal in 17 minutes.  Trae Hannibal added 18 on 6-of-12 shooting.

USF (24-10) was led by Jamaree Bouyea who had 36 points.

Murray State, the No. 7 seed in the East Region, advances to play No. 15 seed Saint Peter's on Saturday. The Racers will attempt to make its first-ever Sweet 16 appearance.
