OVC Voices Homepage

"OVC Voices" is a video series that will highlight the coaches, student-athletes and administrators from Ohio Valley Conference schools.

This week's episode features Lindenwood head football coach Jed Stugart. Stugart is in his sixth year coaching the Lindenwood program, which announced it was joining the OVC in February 2022 and became official members on July 1, 2022.

A native of Greeley, Colorado, Stugart played football as Azusa Pacific (located east of Los Angeles). He was later an assistant coach at Northern Colorado (1999-02) and UNLV (2009) before taking on head coaching jobs at MidAmerica Nazarene (2006-08) and Sioux Falls (2010-16). He was named Lindenwood's head coach ahead of the 2017 season and led the program to GLVC Championships and NCAA Division II Playoff appearances in each 2019 and 2021 before beginning the reclassification process to Division I and joining the OVC.

Before he was a football coach, Stugart pursued a country music career, where he performed as "Jed Lance" in the 1990s and opened for the likes of Lonestar, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Tim McGraw.
