MALE CO-RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Embry • Jr. • Hartford, Ky. • Morehead State
Running in a tri-meet against regionally-ranked Eastern Kentucky (No. 7) and Kentucky (No. 9), Embry finished second in a field of 30 with a 5K time of 15:44.0 (the fastest in the OVC in the opening weekend). He was just five seconds behind the winner. It was the fastest 5K time for a MSU runner since the 2017 season. He dropped 32 seconds off his 5K time from last year in the performance.
MALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Noah Hufnagel • Sr. • Santa Claus, Ind. • Southern Indiana
Hufnage finished third out of 146 competitors at the Appalachian State Covered Bridge Classic in Boone, North Carolina. He covered the 8K course in 25:12.7, just 20 seconds behind the winner from Florida State. The field included several regionally-ranked teams, as Southern Indiana placed sixth out of 13 squads in its Division I debut.

FEMALE CO-RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Katie Wegmann • Sr. • Mequon, Wis. • Southeast Missouri
Wegmann paced the way on the women’s side finishing third overall out of 86 runners at the Redhawks Invitational in the 4K with a personal-best time of 14:25.3. The competition was her first back since suffering a season-ending injury during the 2022 indoor track season. She helped the Redhawks finish second overall out of nine teams.

Lauren Greiwe • Jr. • West Harrison, Ind. • Southern Indiana
Greiwe finished 18th out of 138 competitors at the Appalachian State Covered Bridge Classic Friday in Boone, North Carolina. Her time was the fastest 5K in the OVC during the opening weekend, as she covered the course in 18:15.17, which also marked a personal-best. She helped USI finish seventh in a 13-team field.
