OVC Basketball Media Day Powered by CenterPoint Energy: Lindenwood

The Lindenwood men's team was predicted 10th while the women's squad was picked 11th in the 2023-24 OVC Preseason Poll voted on by league head coaches and communications directors.

For the men's squad, Keenon Cole was named Preseason All-OVC. Overall the 2023-24 LU men's roster will feature eight newcomers, including seven transfers and one freshman. Among the returners is Cole who was tabbed a second-team all-conference performer a year ago. The Streamwood, Ill. native averaged 12.9 points per game, while pulling down 5.7 boards per contest. Last season, he led the conference in three-point field goal percentage, while scoring in double figures during 22 different games.

The 2023-24 season will be the first for the team under the direction of Amy Eagan who was hired in March. She spent the previous three seasons at Drury and has a career record of 274-151, including four-straight seasons of 23 or more wins.The year's team includes 12 newcomers, of which nine are freshman, while three are transfers. Among the returners, is Mary McGrath who led the team in points per game (12.2) and rebounds per game (6.6).

The Lindenwood teams will look to be one of eight teams in each gender to qualify for the 2024 OVC Basketball Championships, which will be played March 6-9 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. For more information on the championship, click here.
