LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
- The Little Rock men's basketball team used a strong second half performance to defeat UTSA 93-84 at The Jack Stephens Center on Wednesday.  The Trojans recorded their sixth-straight game with four or more players in double-figures as Jamir Chaplin lead the team with 22 points.

Chaplin went 7-of-10 from the field, 3-of-5 from the three-point line, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line to recorded his eight-straight double-digit scoring game and fourth game over 20 points.  Chaplin has scored in double figures in every game but one this season.

Bradley Douglas contributed 20 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while leading the team in rebounds with seven, all defensive.  Douglas recorded his sixth-straight double-digit scoring game and second game over 20 points.

Jordan Jefferson recorded a season-high 17 points including going 9-of-10 from the foul line, while Jaylen Crocker-Johnson tied his career-high of 15 points and added six boards.

The Trojans allowed UTSA to record the most three-pointers so far this season with 14, including nine in the first half.  The Roadrunners had five players in double figures lead by Christian Tucker with 23 points.

UTSA opened the first half with a three, before a jumper by DeAntoni Gordon put up the first points for the Trojans.
 
Both teams exchanged baskets with the Roadrunners keeping their advantage.  At the 9:05 mark, UTSA made three-straight three-pointers to extend their lead to 33-21.
 
After two free throws by the Roadrunners, five-straight points from Crocker-Johnson sparked a run including six points from Jefferson to take the first lead of the game 42-41.
 
UTSA ended the half on a jumper to regain a 43-42 advantage.
 
The Roadrunners opened the second half with a three-pointer, before Little Rock answered with a layup by Gordon.
 
After UTSA went 1-of-3 from the free throw line, a steal by Jefferson followed by a layup by Chaplin and then a dunk by Chaplin regained the Trojan lead 48-47.
 
Both teams exchanged baskets, before a three-pointer by Jefferson sparked a 13-0 run including three-pointers by Cougar Downing and Douglas to extend the Little Rock lead to 63-54.
 
UTSA knocked down three free throws, before a jumper by Jefferson and a three-pointer by Chaplin brought the lead to 68-57.
 
Little Rock maintained their advantage including nine points from Douglas to bring the score to 84-70 in the Trojans favor with 2:21 remaining.
 
UTSA used five-straight points to cut the advantage to 84-75 with 1:40 on the clock.  Both teams made baskets with the Trojans holding on to the lead and winning 93-84.

LIBERTY 74, TENNESSEE STATE 52
LYNCHBURG, Va.
- The Tennessee State men's basketball team got a 22-point performance from the bench, but fell 74-52 to the Liberty Flames on the road Wednesday.

The Tigers (6-5) had two players score double figures, led by Christian Brown, who scored 16 points. Jaylen Jones tacked on 11 points and Ej Bellinger added six and 11 rebounds.

After falling behind 32-24, Tennessee State went on a 9-0 run with 2:48 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Kinyon Hodges, to take a 33-32 lead. The Tigers then maintained that lead and entered halftime with a 35-34 advantage. Tennessee State relied on its three-point shooting in the period, knocking down five shots to account for 15 of its 35 points.

Liberty then erased the Tennessee State lead in the game's the second half for a 74-52 comeback victory.
