Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Madeline Monroy, Fr., Litchfield Park, Ariz. – Eastern Illinois
Monroy extended her current singles win streak to seven straight matches with a pair of wins over the weekend against Chicago State and Lehigh. On Friday Monroy secured the lone point of the match for the Panthers winning at No. 5 singles in three sets against Ethel Li. Monroy won 3-6, 6-3, 10-3. On Monday morning she came back and picked another three set win at No. 5 singles, this win clinched the team victory for EIU against Lehigh. Monroy won 7-6 (7-5), 0-6, 6-3 to improve to 9-7 overall in singles play including 5-0 at the No. 5 spot in the order.

Women’s Tennis Co-Doubles Team of the Week
Lauren Ellis (Sr., Danville, Ill.) & Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova (Sr., Aldie, Va.) – Eastern Illinois
Ellis and Bukraba-Ulanova played together for the second week this season as the No. 3 doubles for EIU as the Panthers shifted their doubles line-ups with the return of Addison Brown as part of the No. 1 doubles team. Ellis and Bukraba-Ulanova picked up wins in both of their matches against Chicago State and Lehigh. Against CSU, the pair won 6-2 picking up the lone doubles win against the Cougars. In the match on Monday morning against Lehigh, they won 6-0 winning the first of two doubles matches for EIU as the Panthers secured the point as part of the team win.
Amelia Gorman (Fr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) & Marguax Guibal Britt (Fr., Rossville. Tenn.) – SIUE
Gorman & Guibal Britt Went 2-0 for the week in doubles matches. The duo defeated Saginaw Valley State’s Amelia Dickson and Johanna Michahelles 6-1 as well as Belle Kuhnert and Nicole Stephens 6-4.
