The 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Softball Championship continues on Thursday.
Due to weather yesterday, the resumption of the No. 3 Southern Indiana/No. 6 Tennessee State will take place at 9 a.m. In a game that was orginally scheduled for Wednesday, No. 4 seeded UT Martin will play No. 5 SIUE at approximately 10 a.m. CT
Second-seeded Eastern Illinois will play the winner of No. 3 Southern Indiana/No. 6 Tennessee State at 12:30 p.m. CT.
Top-seeded Southeast Missouri will face the winner of the No. 4 UT Martin/No 5 SIUE game at 3 p.m.
The loser of the UT Martin/SIUE game will play the loser the Eastern Illinois/Southern Indiana/Tennessee State game at 5:30 p.m. to wrap up the day
The entire tournament will be held at
Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama, and will be streamed on ESPN+.

#3 SOUTHERN INDIANA 9, #6 TENNESSEE STATE 1
OXFORD, Ala. - In a game that saw a 16 hour rain delay, No. 3 Southern Indiana defeated No. 6 Tennessee State, 9-1, in six innings. The Screaming Eagles advance to play No. 2 Eastern Illinois at 12:30 p.m. CT while the Tigers will play in the first game of the day tomorrow.
Allie Goodin led USI, going 2-for-2 with three RBI. She also scored once and walked twice. Goodin also hit her seventh home run of the season.
Southern Indiana's Sammie Kihega hit a two-run home run for her second homer of the season.
Anayah Baker-Rowell scored the lone run for Tennessee State. She was also one of four Tigers to record a hit.
USI's Josie Newman struck out a pair to pick up her 16th win of the season in the circle.
#4 UT MARTIN 8, #5 SIUE 5
OXFORD, Ala. - Fourth -seeded UT Martin defeated No. 5 SIUE in Game 4 of the OVC Softball Championship. The Skyawks advance to play top-seeded Southeast Missouri at 3 p.m. CT while the Cougars will play at 5:30 p.m. this evening.
UT Martin hit five home runs in the win, including a pair by Kaitlyn Kelley. Kelley finished the day going 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Maddie Long went 3-for-4 with three RBI while hitting her fifth home run of the year.
Avry Blume went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate for the Skyhawks. She drove in a pair and hit her fifth homer of the season. Kallie Pickens also hit a homer on the day. It was her eight of the season.
SIUE was led by Paige Rocha and Sherri Mason who each had three hits on the day. Rocha drove in a team-high four runs while Mason had one RBI.
#2 EASTERN ILLINOIS 2, #3 SOUTHERN INDIANA 1
OXFORD, Ala. - Second-seeded Eastern Illinois defeated No. 3 Southern Indiana, 2-1, in the OVC Softball Championship. The Panthers advance to play the winner of the Southeast Missouri/UT Martin games tomorrow while the Screaming Eagles will play SIUE later this evening.
Lindy Milkowski had a hit and drove in a run for the Panthers. Jaylen Prichard, Kendall Glover and Rachel Kaufhman also each had a hit in the win.
Mackenzie Bedrick led USI with a pair of hits while Rachel Martinez drove in Southern Indiana's only run.
Olivia Price game up just one run to pick up her 14th win of the season.
#4 UT MARTIN 7, #1 SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 0
OXFORD, Ala. - Fourth-seeded UT Martin defeated No. 1 Southeast Missouri, 7-0, in the OVC Softball Championship. The Skyhawks advance to play Eastern Illinois tomorrow while the Redhawks will face Tennessee State .
UT Martin hit a pair of home runs to bring its total to seven on the day. Avry Blume hit her sixth of the season while Kiersten Nixon launched her seventh of the year.
Blume finished with two hits, two runs scored and three RBI while Nixon had two hits, one run scored and one RBI. Kaci Fuller also had a pair of hits and one RBI for the Skyhawks.
Jillian Anderson and Kat Sackett each had two hits to lead the Redhawks.
Katie Dreiling did not give up a run and walked just one to pick up her 13th win of the season.
#5 SIUE 10, #3 SOUTHERN INDIANA 3
OXFORD, Ala. - Fifth seeded SIUE defeated No. 3 Southern Indiana, in the 2023 OVC Softball Championship. The Cougars advance to play the winner of the Southeast Missouri/Tennessee State game tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
Lexi King led SIUE, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run scored. Paige Rocha and Madisyn Webster each had three hits. Lauryn Yslava hit a two run shot for her fourth home run of the season.
USI's Lexi Fair had a pair of hits and an RBI in the game. Sammie Kihega also drove in a run.
Sydney Baalman struck out three en route to her 14th win of the year.
