Co-OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week
Matthew Tyeskie, Fr., Kilgore, Texas, Little Rock
  • Finished 3rd in the 60m hurdles at the Robert Platt Invitational hosted by the University of Houston.
  • Crossed the tape in a time of 7.92, breaking the program record.
  • Broke the school record in each meet he has participated in as a freshman.
  • The time is first in the OVC and is 66th in the NCAA.
  • This marks his fifth award, second Athlete of the Week.
Terrico Garrett, Gr., University City, Mo., Southeast Missouri
  • Placed first in the 800m at the Illini Challenge.
  • His time of 1:51.42 is the top time in the OVC and is 52nd in the nation.
  • Was a part of the Distance Medley which placed 3rd in a time of 10:15.25.
  • The result is ranked 36th in the country and is second in the OVC.

OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week
Taylor Fox, Sr., Mt. Zion, Ill., Southeast Missouri
  • Finished in the top three in two events at the Illini Challenge.
  • Secured 1st place in the 800m in a time of 2:12.26.
  • The time is the top mark in the OVC this season.
  • Was a member of the Distance Medley team, finishing 3rd in 11:55.81.
  • The medley squad ranks 32nd in the NCAA and first in the OVC.
  • This marks her third consecutive honor.

Co-OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week
Matthew Fox, Jr., Ajax, Ontario, Canada, Little Rock
  • Finished second in the Heptathlon at the Robert Platt Invitational hosted by the University of Houston.
  • Generated a score of 5,527 points, breaking his previous school record by 456 points.
  • The total is the top in the OVC and ranks 16th nationally.
Luke Hatfield Jackson, Gr., Arnold, Mo., Southeast Missouri
  • Reached the podium in three events at the Illini Challenge.
  • Placed second in the long jump with a mark of 7.49m (24’7”).
  • The distance ranks first in the OVC and 43rd in the country.
  • Finished third in the high jump and triple jump.
  • Reached a height of 2.09m (6’10.25”) in the high jump.
  • The result tops the OVC and ranks 72nd in the nation.
  • Finished with a mark of 14.36m (47’1.5”) in the triple which is sixth in the OVC.

Alexia Washington, Fr., Rosenberg, Texas, Little Rock
  • Placed second in the Triple Jump at the Robert Platt Invitational hosted by the University of Houston.
  • Finished with a leap of 12.68m (41’ 7.25”).
  • Broke the school record she had previously set.
  • The distance is first in the OVC and 32nd in the NCAA, 3rd among true freshmen.
  • This is her third honor, first field.
