MARTIN, Tenn. 
- Junior M.E. Hargan completed a big weekend in West Tennessee with a season-high 24 kills and posted her second double-double of the season by adding 13 digs, leading Morehead State to a 3-2 victory and a series sweep over UT Martin in Skyhawk Fieldhouse.

For the two-match series, Hargan combined for 36 kills with a .461 hitting percentage for the weekend. Her double/double was the10th of her career.  

Sophomore Hollan Everett slammed 12 kills, and junior Sydney Wyman added a season-high 11 kills while gathering a career-high eight total blocks. Senior libero Peighton Isley led Morehead State 23 digs.  

Morehead State, now (8-9) on the season and (4-2) in the Ohio Valley Conference, matched their season-high with 64 kills and served up six service aces, giving the Eagles 101 aces on the season, which ranks second in the OVC. 

The Eagles dominated at the net, racking up 12 total blocks to only four for UT Martin. Sophomore Amelia Nott added seven blocks to go along with her nine kills for MSU.  

UT Martin took a back-and-forth first set 25-20. MSU stormed back in the second set, tallying 16 kills hitting a sizzling .455 in claiming a 25-14 set victory. The Skyhawks cooled the Eagles' attack in Set 3, holding the MSU attack to .182 efficiency. Morehead State never trailed in the fourth set, forcing the tiebreaker set with a 25-14 edge.  

In the fifth set, MSU blasted 11 kills while hitting an incredible .550 hitting percentage. The Eagles attack banged out 11 terminations with no errors on 20 swings. The score was close in the early stages of the set. UT Martin closed to within 9-8; the Eagles then went on a 7-1 run including scoring the final four points to close out the match.  

UT Martin's Kylie Surratt let the Skyhawk attack with 15 kills. The Skyhawks are now (3-11) on the season and (1-4) in conference play.

TENNESSEE STATE 3, SIUE 2
NASHVILLE 
- Maggie Keenan racked up 13 kills with a .522 attack percentage to help power the Tennessee State volleyball team to a five-set win (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11) over the SIUE on Homecoming Saturday at Kean Hall.

The conference win improved Tennessee State's record to 5-14 overall and 1-5 in OVC action.

The Tigers offense was paced by Jayla Holcombe, who finished with 19 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .316. Keenan added 13 and Celestial Miller chipped in with 11 as part of balanced Tennessee State attack. got 21 digs from Hadley Pride to lead them defensively.

The Tigers grabbed control on the first point and never looked back to win the first set 25-21. Tennessee State opened up its biggest lead, four points, to close out the set.

Tennessee State then lost set two 25-21, evening the match at a set apiece. The  Tigers trailed by as many as seven points as SIUE grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was tied up three times before the Cougars took over the lead.

Tennessee State then got back on the winning track, emerging victorious in set three and taking a two sets to one lead in the match. The Tigers took the lead for good at 24-23 in a set that showcased two lead changes before Tennessee State took over in the second half of the stanza. They then carried that lead to a 25-23 set win. The Tennessee State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.

Tennessee State couldn't finish off a four-set win as the Cougars forced a fifth set with a 25-20 victory. The Tigers trailed by as many as six points as SIUE grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 and Tennessee State was never able to recover in a set that was tied up two times before the Cougars took over the lead.

Tennessee State and SIUE went back and forth all game, trading set wins until the Tigers took set five 15-11 and the match. The Tigers took the fifth set powered by a solid performance on the attacking end. Tennessee State registered a .389 attack percentage with nine kills in the set win. The Tigers took their first and last lead of the match at 5-4 and rode it to victory.

LITTLE ROCK 3, SOUTHERN INDIANA 1
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. 
- The Little Rock Volleyball team used a dominant defensive effort to beat Southern Indiana on Friday night, then flipped the script with a solid offensive performance Saturday afternoon to take another 3-1 win over USI and sweep the season series at the Jack Stephens Center.
 
Little Rock (10-10 overall, 5-2 OVC) hit .257 overall with 54 kills to just 16 errors, dominating the first and third sets before rallying late in the fourth to score six of the final eight points and win the match with scores of 25-10, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23. The Trojans improve to 4-1 at home and have won three of their last four to take sole possession of third in the conference.
 
Kaila Harris had a game-high 16 kills on .316 hitting, Jeila Fullerton added 12 kills and Bella Cherry had 10. Dariana Valencia (21), Kaylee Smith (18) and Andrea Roman (9) set 48 of Little Rock's 49 assists. The Trojans hit .414 in the opening set and .341 in the third. Harris and Smith also added a pair of aces for each.
 
Roman led the defensive side with 27 digs, Fullerton completed her 10th double-double with 17 digs and Valencia registered her seventh with 10 digs. Harris also had 10 digs for her second double-double of the season. Vivian Lucumi and A'lanae Margaritha each had three blocks while Harris, Crismeyli Rodriguez and Jaycee Kennedy each had a pair.
