FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. 
- Southeast Missouri (4-11) was shutout twice at the Wooo Pig Classic Friday. The Redhawks fell to Summit League preseason favorite South Dakota State, 9-0, in five innings and #16 Arkansas, 5-0.
 
Reigning Summit League Pitcher of the Year Tori Kniesche recorded eight strikeouts in a complete game shutout during the first game of the day.
 
Kniesche (5-4) threw her fourth complete game and threw her second shutout of the season.
 
SDSU struck quickly in the bottom of the first inning when it loaded the bases and capitalized on two walks, a pair of singles and an error to take a 3-0 lead. 
 
The Jackrabbits, after coming up empty with the bases loaded in the second inning, loaded the bases again in the bottom of the fourth. Three walks and an error helped SDSU get two more runs and pull ahead, 5-0.
 
SDSU loaded the bases a fourth time, this time with no outs in the fifth.
 
The Redhawks' third error of the game allowed the Jackrabbits' leadoff hitter to reach base for the fourth time. Rozelyn Carillo singled and a wild pitch put runners at first and third. Brooke Dumont walked and Mia Jarecki then hit Willow Van Haren's fifth offering for a walk-off grand slam ending the game in five innings.
 
SEMO had three hits with Brooklyn Saysoff, Tori Bradley and Paige Halliwill each getting a single. The Redhawks left six runners on base and committed three errors.
 
Tegan Livesay (0-3) took the loss. Livesay allowed seven runs on five hits, walked six and struck out two in four innings.
 
A four-run fifth inning keyed Arkansas' win in the nightcap.
 
The Razorbacks started the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run by Cylie Halvorson. Back-to-back two-out hits, including a RBI-double by Reagan Johnson and two-RBI single by Bri Ellis extended UA's lead to 5-0.
 
UA first pulled ahead with a leadoff solo home run by Hannah Gammill in the third.
 
Morgan Leinstock (4-0) picked up the win. Leinstock went the distance allowing only three hits, striking out six and walking one in seven innings.
 
Paytience Holman (2-3) suffered the loss. Holman scattered six hits, gave up five runs and walked one in five innings. Four of those hits went for extra bases.
 
Halliwill, Wrigley and Tatum Gerwitz singled for SEMO's three hits.

LINDENWOOD 5, GREEN BAY 0; LINDENWOOD 3, BELLARMINE 1
ST. CHARLES, Mo. 
- Lindenwood softball (7-9, 0-0 OVC) pushed their win streak to four with two wins to start the Lindenwood Invite. The Lions took the first game against Green Bay (4-8) by a final score of 5-0 then followed that with a 3-1 victory over Bellarmine (5-7).

Amanda Weyh (W, 4-4) was dominate on the mound picking up her four complete game while throwing her third combined shutout. Weyh went 7.0 innings while allowing two hits and striking out eight. She held her opponents to a .090 batting average while allowing just four base runners all day.

At the plate, Dallis Darnell (2-3) and Morgan Gersch (2-2) both had two hits during the first game. Darnell also added two RBI and a double. Weyh also was solid at the plate bring home two RBI with a single to the shortstop.

Lindenwood's defense picked up the pace early on in the first inning with a double play to get out of the inning. The Lions scored first in the second inning with a bases loaded walk giving Mya Bethany the RBI.

Weyh, with runners at second and third, stuck out Green Bay's Paige Hanson to get out of the inning. Lindenwood then added four more in the bottom of the fifth inning to stretch their lead to 5-0. Chloe Honchar led off the inning with a double and was moved to third after a bunt single by Tori Hatton.

With the bases loaded, Darnell punched home a two RBI double into right center to give Lindenwood a 3-0 lead. Weyh then added her two RBI single later in the inning to make the final score 5-0. Weyh ended the top of the seventh with two strikeouts to secure the win.

Avery Wapp (W, 2-2) picked up her second win of the season in the circle after throwing all seven innings allowing just one run on eight hits while striking out four. Lindenwood's defense made many plays in the field to keep Bellarmine off the scoreboard.

Madisen Noll (2-2) and Ashley Gerber (2-3) both had two hits in the win for the Lions. Lindenwood posted seven hits while scoring three runs. Noll and Gerber both punched in runs batted in game two of the day.

Lindenwood had an opportunity to score in the first with two runners on by Bellarmine's Carson Goatley managed to get out of the inning with a flyout by Morgan Gersch. In the top of the third, Bellarmine's Megan Konermann had a single into right field by Emma Daniels throwing out the runner at home which led to a double play throwing out the runner at third.

The Lions finally broke through on the scoreboard with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Noll had a triple to the right center wall to bring home Irelynn West for the first run. Gerber then added an RBI single to put LU up 2-0.

After Bellarmine added a run in the top of the sixth, Gersch led off the bottom of the inning with a double. After an attempted steal by Noll and an error by Bellarmine's first baseman, Gersch scored to extend the lead. Weyh went three up three down in the top of the seventh to end the game.

SIUE 4, LOYOLA 3
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. 
- SIUE softball scored four unearned runs in the first inning and cruised to a 4-1 victory Friday over Loyola at Cougar Field.

Loyola, 6-7, committed three errors in the opening frame.

Kelsey Ray collected the victory for the Cougars and improved to 4-2. Rylie Pindel tossed a scoreless seventh inning and recorded her third save of the season.

SIUE, 7-7, finished with six hits, including two from Kaylynn Salyars.

MEMPHIS 7, UT MARTIN 6 (11)
MEMPHIS, Tenn. 
- The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team opened its stay at the 901 Classic Tournament with a lengthy 11-inning show down with tournament host Memphis before ultimately coming up just short by a final score of 7-6.

The Skyhawks (8-8) jumped out to an early lead before having to dig themselves out of a second-inning hole. After mounting a rally to tie up the contest in the sixth inning, neither team could capitalize on scoring opportunities until the Tigers finally scratched out the game-winning run in the 11th inning.

While the offense tallied 12 hits in the contest, it was the pitching of senior Brooklynn Linneman which kept the Skyhawks in the game. After entering the game in the bottom of the second inning, Linneman proceeded to strike out five and throw 132 pitches over the next nine innings of work.

With a strong pitching performance at the forefront, senior Kaci Fuller was one of eight players to record a base knock. The senior outfielder led the way by going 4-for-6 at the plate with three singles and a double while driving in one run. Senior Avry Blume and Katie Dreiling each drove in a pair of RBIs while Annie Gutierrez picked up her eighth RBI of the season.

Memphis (2-13) tallied 12 hits on the afternoon with three players recording three hits in the lineup. Arianna Cox-Cole, McKaylee Polk and Zoe Adebayo each had three-hit games while Polk led the team with three RBIs. In the circle, Abigail Morgan allowed three earned runs in five innings while Taniyah Brown allowed just one in six frames.

UT Martin jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the opening frame. Fuller led off the game with a double to center before coming home to score a few pitches later via an infield error. The inning continued with a walk to Alli Robinson before Dreiling and Gutierrez drove in runs on back-to-back at-bats to put the Skyhawks on top early.

Memphis scratched back a run in the bottom half of the inning as an RBI-single by Adebayo put the Tigers on the board. The home squad wasn't done there however, as they charged back in the bottom of the second inning to score five runs and take a big lead. A pair of singles by Madison Berner and Khamiyah Brown gave the Tigers the lead before a three-run bomb by Polk gave the squad some breathing room.

The score remained the same until the top of the sixth inning when the Skyhawks rallied to tie the game. A pair of leadoff singles kicked off the frame for UT Martin from Anna Hazlewood and Dylan Scott before an RBI-single by Fuller and a pair of bases loaded walks by Avry Blume and Dreiling knotted up the contest at six runs each.

After tying the game, UT Martin had the go-ahead chance in several innings down the stretch, stranding 10 runners over the next five frames. While opportunities presented themselves for both teams, Memphis was the first team to cash in a chance as Adebayo ended the game in the bottom of the seventh inning on a single up the middle to plate the game-winning run in a 7-6 marathon.

TENNESSEE STATE 4, PORTLAND STATE 3; LOYOLA MARYMOUNT 6, TENNESSEE STATE 4
HONOLULU, Hawaii 
- The Tennessee State softball team went 1-1 on Friday afternoon as they picked up their first win of the Spring Fling Tournament afternoon after defeating Portland State 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Tigers fell to LMU in their second game of the day 6-4.

Sophomore Holly Ayala (1-2) got the win out of the bullpen for Tennessee State (7-7). The right-hander went 0.2 shutout innings without giving up a hit, no walks, and striking out one.

Offensively, the Tigers were paced by senior Anayah Baker-Rowell, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a home run, a walk and two RBI. Sophomore Onnika

Spencer put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Senior Nahtali Simpson also chipped in for Tennessee State, putting together three hits in three trips to the plate.

The Tigers put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Tennessee State got on the board thanks to Spencer's RBI double with two outs.

The Tigers then held the Vikings scoreless before expanding their lead in the fourth inning. Tennessee State picked up a run on Baker-Rowell's leadoff home run off of senior A. Frost, which brought the Tigers lead to 2-0.

Portland State then rallied to take a 3-2 lead before Tennessee State scored two runs in the bottom half of the seventh to grab the win, walking it off on Portland State's error with Traylor at the plate that brought home senior Laila Armstrong.

Junior Caitlyn Manus (2-5) came out of the bullpen for Tennessee State (7-8) and took the loss. Junior Reina Castillo was a bright spot for the Tigers, coming out of the bullpen as well and throwing two shutout innings, allowing three hits.

At the plate, the Tigers were paced by junior Ryla Traylor, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a home run, a walk and an RBI. Senior Anayah Baker-Rowell put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Sophomore Onnika Spencer also helped out for Tennessee State, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding a double.

The Tigers put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the third inning. Tennessee State scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-run triple from Baker-Rowell.

The Tigers lost the lead they built in the third, but got back on the board in the fifth trailing 6-3. Tennessee State picked up a run on Traylor's one-out solo home run off of junior Jessica Hubbard, which tightened the Greyhounds lead to 6-4. The Tigers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
