OVC Women’s Tennis Players of the Week – March 12
Co-Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Amelia Gorman, So., Pittsburgh, Pa. - SIUE
Gorman picked up a pair of straight set victories on the week playing at No. 4 singles. The sophomore earned a point against Alcorn State after her opponent retired in the second set. Gorman won the first set 6-1 and led 3-1 in the second at the time the match was halted. She closed out the week with a 6-1, 6-4 victory in SIUE’s 4-3 loss to New Orleans.
Sofia Davidoff, Fr., Lagny-sur-Marne, France – Southern Indiana
Davidoff won one match while another went unfinished due to team victory. The freshman highlighted the week with a three-set win at No. 5 singles against Eastern Kentucky. She won the first set 6-3 before dropping the second 6-4. With the team match tied at 3-3, Davidoff clinched the deciding point for the Screaming Eagles with a 6-0 decision in the final set. USI closed out the match at 4-0 against Missouri St. Louis halting her match.

Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Madison Windham (Jr., Clarksville, Tenn.) & Antonia Ferrarini (Fr., Caxias do Sul, Brazil) – Southern Indiana
Windham and Ferrarini finished the week 2-0 playing at No. 3 doubles. The doubles team was the lone from the Srceaming Eagles to sweep the weekend. They opened with a 6-4 win over Eastern Kentucky helping USI grab a 4-3 victory. Closed out the week with a 6-0 win over Missouri-St. Louis.
