EDINBURG, Texas - Sello Diphoko scored two goals in a span of 2:30 late in the second half as UIW topped UTRGV 2-1 to pick up its first victory of the season.
The Cardinals fell behind 1-0 in the 63rd minute before Diphoko scored his first two gaols of the season, the first off an assist from Timothy Ospina and the second from Erick Rios.
Alejandro DeLaTorre made three saves in goal for UIW.
