BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - The Ohio Valley Conference announced its 2025 women's soccer award winners and All-Conference teams on Wednesday before the OVC Championship gets underway.
 
In a vote of league head coaches and communications directors, Tennessee Tech’s Lucia Cuadra was named the 2025 Midfielder of the Year while the Golden Eagles Claire Palya earned Defender of the Year and Corey Boyd was tabbed Coach of the Year. Little Rock’s Maria Schuller was selected Forward of the Year, Eastern Illinois’ Ella Kratochvil earned Goalkeeper of the Year while the Panthers Camylle Graves and UT Martin’s Ava Huntrods were named Co-Freshman of the Year.
The league announced an 11-member All-OVC first team and an 11-member second team as well as an All-Newcomer Team. Tennessee Tech had the most combined first and second-team All-OVC selections with six, including four first-team picks. That was followed by Little Rock (4), Lindenwood (4), Eastern Illinois (3) and UT Martin (3).
Schuller scored 12 goals and had four assists on the year, including six goals and one assist in conference play. The sophomore tallied three game-winning goals while playing 639 minutes in nine league contests. She was honored as OVC Player of the Week on three occasions this season.
 
Cuadra recorded five goals and five assists in OVC play. The graduate shot 71 percent with 15 of her 21 shots on goal. The midfielder played a total of 543 minutes in eight games.
 
Palya notched two goals and one assist on the season, with both goals coming in conference play. The redshirt-junior amassed 787 minutes in nine games and was named a one-time OVC Defensive Player of the Week honoree.
 
Kratochvil was in net for all 810 minutes of the nine conference games for EIU and posted a 5-3-1 record with five shutouts. The junior had five goals against for a 0.56 goals against average and collected 36 saves for an .878 save percentage. On the season, she finished with eight clean sheets, including a streak of six games for a total of 606:10. The streak tied for the second longest consecutive shutout stretch in OVC history, while the time length is fourth all time in league history. Kratochvil earned two OVC Player of the Week honors.
 
Graves played for 419 minutes in nine conference games. The freshman assisted on three goals during OVC play.
 
Huntrods tallied one goal and three assists in league contests. The freshman totaled 556 minutes in nine games.
 
Boyd has led the Golden Eagles to back-to-back OVC regular season championships, giving the program four in a row. TTU finished unbeaten in conference play going 6-0-3 while leading the OVC with 21 goals (2.33/game) and tied for goals against with five (0.55 against/game). This is the second-year head coaches first honor.
