EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Kiyley Flowers hit a big 3-pointer for Eastern Illinois in the overtime session scoring six of the Panthers 12 overtime points as they survived at SIUE with a 67-61 win on Tuesday night at First Community Arena.

Flowers 3-pointer came from the left-hand corner with 36.2 seconds left in overtime giving EIU a 62-59 lead.

She would get a steal on the next Cougars possession and sink one of two at the foul line to put the Panthers up four points.  KK Rodriguez cut into the margin scoring with 22.6 seconds left to make it a 63-61 contest.

EIU closed the deal with Macy McGlone and Flowers each knocking down free throws in the final 20 seconds.  Flowers had nine points with five assists and five steals.

SIUE tied the game at 45-45 left in the fourth quarter on a three-point play by Brianna Woolridge.   The two teams traded scoring over the next couple of minutes with five total ties.

Alex Rouse gave EIU a 55-53 lead with 1:11 left in the game only to see Rodriguez tie it with seven seconds left for the Cougars ending regulation tied at 55-55.

McGlone led EIU with 19 pts, 15 rebounds as the Panthers improved to 14-8 overall, 11-2 in the OVC.  Rouse added 18 points for EIU.

SIUE was led by Redriguez with 17 points as the Cougars dropped to 4-18 overall, 2-11 in the OVC.  Ava Stoller had 12 points and Woolridge added 11 for SIUE.
