Southeast Missouri guard Teddy Washington, Jr. is among the 30 finalists for the 2024-25 Riley Wallace Award presented annually to the most impactful transfer in division I college basketball by CollegeInsider.com.

During his coaching career at Hawaii, Riley Wallace welcomed many transfers into the program and became the winningest coach in program history. Wallace guided Hawaii to nine postseason appearances, including a school-record streak of four straight from 2001-04.

This season Washington helped SEMO to its first OVC Regular Season Championship since 1999-00 and a 21-12 overall record. In 32 games the transfer from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi averaged 13.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals/game while hitting a team-best 58 3-pointers.

The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com.

The 2025 award will be announced in San Antonio, Texas, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
