ST. CHARLES, Mo.
- The Lindenwood baseball team (25-24) dropped a midweek contest with SLU (29-19) by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday night from Lou Brock Sports Complex

SLU put a pair on the board in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead. Evan Funkhouser led off the second with a single and eventually came around to score. Later in the inning, Bryson Arnette drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game at two.

The Billikens plated three in the fourth to regain a 5-2 lead. Lindenwood answered with one in the fifth as Filip Sarota started the inning and would come around to score on a sac fly from Sam Grunberg, cutting the deficit to 5-3.

Dillon Haftorson was terrific out of the bullpen, tossing four scoreless innings while allowing just two hits, but the Lions still trailed by two heading to the ninth. In the ninth, SLU added two more, going ahead 7-3. Arnette led off the bottom half with a solo shot, however Lindenwood was unable to draw any closer, falling 7-4.

AUSTIN PEAY 16, MOREHEAD STATE 3
MOREHEAD, Ky.
- Austin Peay scored in bunches and downed Morehead State 16-3 in eight innings Tuesday night at Allen Field at Prefontaine Park.

Morehead State (12-34/ 2-19 OVC) dented the scoreboard in the first inning on left fielder Davis Germann's blast to deep left center field to take the early 2-0 lead.

Austin Peay (38-11/ 21-3 ASUN) responded in the second inning with a six-run outburst on four hits to take the lead.

MSU got one run back in the second when Griffin Olson singled, stole second and scored on an error.

Austin Peay added another four runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by home runs by center fielder John Bay and third baseman Ray Velazquez.

The Governors tacked on another six runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by Valazquez' second home run of the game.

Aaron Lewis (1-2) picked up the win for APSU; MSU's Josh Furtado (2-3) took the loss.

NORTH ALABAMA 2, UT MARTIN 1
MARTIN, Tenn.
- The University of Tennessee at Martin baseball team battled but fell 2-1 to North Alabama in the midweek matchup at Skyhawk Field.
 
Arderrius Townsend (double), Brody Capps and Jonah Katsaboulas has base hits while Tommy Koch (run scored, two walks), Jalen Fithian, Garner Anderson and Blaze Bell drew walks.
 
JP Nunn started the game going five innings allowing no runs and fanning four batters. Mason Shropshire (no hits allowed, one strikeout) and Kaleb Baskin (2-3, 2.1 innings pitched, three strikeouts) came in for relief appearances.
 
Nunn started his day in 1-2-3 fashion inducing a groundout, strikeout and flyout. After a two-out single back to the mound in the second, the freshman forced a foul out to first base. With bases loaded, the right-hander escaped the third inning jam by getting a pop out to shortstop. Koch began the home half by drawing a walk and later came around to score on a wild pitch.
 
Nunn finished his fourth inning of work with a strikeout and 6-3 double play then ended his outing in the fifth on two flyouts and a strikeout. Shropshire took over in the sixth and retired the Lions (18-28) in order to keep UT Martin (18-29) in front.
 
North Alabama leveled the score in the seventh, but Baskin prevented any more runs from crossing the plate after getting a fielder’s choice to end the frame. Baskin pitched a perfect eighth inning from a pop out, flyout and strikeout. The Lions took the lead in the ninth and held off a Skyhawk comeback in the home half.
