LIBERTY 1, RADFORD 1
RADFORD, Va.
- The Liberty Flames and the Radford Highlanders played to a 1-1 draw, Thursday evening at Tom Lillard Field at Cupp Stadium.

The two teams exchanged goals in the middle of the second half, with the Highlanders scoring in the 70th minute and the Flames finding the equalizer during the 73rd minute.

Forward Leo Conneh scored the Flames' lone goal in their first road match of 2025.

Liberty moves to 2-0-1 on the season. Radford advances to 0-1-1.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS 5, WESTERN ILLINOIS 0
DEKALB, Ill.
- Western Illinois men's soccer dropped a 5-0 decision to Northern Illinois on Thursday evening. The Leathernecks entered the match aiming to rebound from a heartbreaking last-second loss to Quincy, but the Huskies kept control from the opening whistle.

NIU struck early and often, scoring four times in the first half to build a lead too large for the Leathernecks to overcome. The Huskies outshot the Leathernecks 20-5 on the night, including a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal.

GONZAGA 1, UIW 0
SAN ANTONIO
- Alex Bazia scored in the 81st minute to push Gonzaga to a 1-0 victory over UIW.

Gonzaga had a 7-4 advantage in shots for the game.

Alejandro De La Torre made four saves for the Cardinals, who have now lost back-to-back one score games.

UMASS LOWELL 1, HCU 0
HOUSTON
-  Houston Christian University was aggressive all night but could not find the back of the net, dropping a physical, hard-fought 1-0 defeat to UMass-Lowell on Thursday night at Sorrels Field.

The Huskies had plenty of opportunities as they fired away 22 shots in the game, nine on goal. The River Hawks found the game-winner in the 22nd minute, as Oliver Holmstrom cleaned up the clutter just in front of the goal, clanging in the game's lone tally for the one-goal advantage.

UML's Alvara Medrano made that stand up. He had nine saves on the evening and combined with a defense that seemed to be just in the way of every shot taken by the hosts.

Joby Reid had five shots, three on target to lead the Huskies offense. Ron Pressler had three shots and Ricardo Garcia and D'Alessandro Herrera each had three. Alex Aitken made three saves on the evening.

Holmstrom had the goal and three of the River Hawks (2-1-0) four shots on goal.

HCU is now 1-1-0 on the season.

SIUE 2, AIR FORCE 1
USAF ACADEMY, Colo.
-  SIUE men's soccer endured a long delay and two different venues to come away with its first win of the year, downing Air Force 2-1 Thursday at the Academy in Colorado.

Lightning forced the game into a delay in the 20th minute. Following a two-hour delay, the game shifted indoors to a site on campus to resume.

Soon after, Evan Howard opened his Cougars account with his first goal. The Coastal Carolina transfer made it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Colin Bastianoni doubled the SIUE advantage in the 42nd minute, giving the Cougars a 2-0 lead heading into a shortened halftime. Wes Gibson added an assist on the goal.

The Falcons' Atilla Toth cut the SIUE lead in half in the 52nd minute.

SIUE outshot Air Force 14-10. Five of the Cougars' shots landed on target. The Falcons put seven shots on frame.

Cougars' goalkeeper Noah Scheidweiler made a career-high six saves on his way to his first collegiate win.
