SAN ANTONIO - UIW scored two second half goals to overcome a halftime deficit and defeat in-state rival and future OVC foe UTRGV 2-1.
It marks the third-straight victory for the Cardinals (4-2-1), who defeated nationally-ranked SMU earlier this week.
Juan Monrreal scored in the 59th minute to even the match at 1-1 and five minutes later he would assist on the game-winning goal which came off the foot of Tatenda Chigede.
