OVC Players of the Week
OFFENSE
Abby Reinl, MF, 5-5, Jr., Sheboygan, Wis. – Eastern Illinois
Reinl recorded three total shots over two matches with all three shots resulting in Eastern Illinois goals. The junior scored twice in Thursday’s road win at Valparaiso. She provided the match winner with 12 minutes remaining in the contest. Reinl scored her third goal of the week in the first half at Northern Illinois with EIU holding the lead until the final eight minutes of the contest.

DEFENSE
Parker Gelinas, D, Gr., 5-5, Germantown, Tenn. – UT Martin
Gelinas anchored a backline which allowed just one goal per game last week. The Skyhawks fell 1-0 on the road at Ole Miss before surrendering one goal against Illinois State. The graduate also had one shot against the Redbirds.

GOALKEEPER
Anna Markland, GK, 5-10, R-Jr., Hoover, Ala. – Southern Indiana
Markland returned to the net and led USI to a shutout win against Southern Illinois. The redshirt-junior faced 10 shots during the team’s first clean sheet of the season. The Salukis had outscored their opponents 13-1 before playing the Screaming Eagles. The performance led to USI’s first win of the season.
