LINDENWOOD 3, MOREHEAD STATE 0
MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Lindenwood women's soccer team (5-3-3, 2-1-0 OVC) picked up three points with a 3-0 win over Morehead State (3-9, 1-2-0 OVC) on the road on Sunday afternoon. It was the Lions' first three-goal performance of the season.

Lindenwood opened the scoring in the 16th minute when a Lily Sutter cross into the box found the right foot of Anna Johnson, who powered the ball past the MSU keeper for a score. Mackenzie Compton was also credited with an assist on the play.

The Lions added to their lead 20 minutes later on an Allison Schrumpf strike from the top of the box that found its way to the top left corner of the net, evading the outstretched arms of a diving Eagles goalie. It marked Schrumpf's third consecutive game with a point. Rachel Jackson assisted on the goal from the corner.

Lindenwood had eight total shots with six shots on goal in the half while limiting Morehead State to just five shots with zero on goal.

The Lions remained on the attack coming out of the break, and in the 60th minute Mackenzie Compton was able to shake a Morehead defender in the box before tucking the ball into the top right corner to put the Lions up 3-0 on an unassisted goal.

Morehead State outshot Lindenwood 7-4 in the second half but were unable to get on the scoreboard as the Lions secured their sixth shutout of the season.

Ava Blum, Mackenzie Compton, and Anna Johnson led Lindenwood with three shots apiece in the match, with all of Compton and Johnson's attempts being on goal.

LITTLE ROCK 2, SIUE 0
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
- The Trojans battled through disallowed goals and physical play to earn their first conference win of the season, a 2-0 victory over Southern Illinois–Edwardsville, extending their unbeaten streak at home. Senior goalkeeper Peyton Urban made seven saves and recorded her 17th career shutout, setting a new program record.

Little Rock (1-0-2) secured its first conference win after opening league play with back-to-back draws, while SIUE fell to 0-2-1. The Trojans now sit third in the Ohio Valley Conference standings, while the Cougars dropped to ninth.

Under a sunny sky, both teams battled for possession in a scoreless first half, with neither able to hold the ball for more than 20 seconds at a time. Little Rock threatened first when sophomore Maria Schuller slipped past the defense and fired a shot that was saved by the keeper. Minutes later, senior Amaya Arias tested SIUE's back line, but her attempt was blocked. The Trojans also had a goal called back for offside, keeping the teams locked in a 0-0 halftime draw.

After the break, Little Rock controlled possession and finally broke through. Schuller delivered a cross to senior Serenity Thake, who struck from outside the box for her first goal of the season and fourth of her Trojan career.

SIUE increased the pressure and appeared to score, but the goal was called off for offside. Little Rock responded with a quick counter, leading to a free kick by junior Candice Kilderry that struck the post. Junior Megan Rogan followed up and scored, giving the Trojans a 2-0 lead with roughly 25 minutes remaining. The Cougars pushed late, but Little Rock held firm to close out the win.

SOUTHERN INDIANA 2, SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 1
EVANSVILLE, Ind.
- University of Southern Indiana Women's Soccer converted a pair of penalty kicks to grab a 2-1 Senior Day victory against Southeast Missouri State University on Sunday afternoon at Strassweg Field.

With the win, USI Women's Soccer (5-5-2, 2-0-1 OVC) finished off an undefeated month of September as part of the team's current seven-match unbeaten streak. USI went 4-0-2 in September and is 5-0-2 during the current streak.

USI picked up another three points in the OVC standings on Sunday after a second straight OVC home win, as the Screaming Eagles head into October second in the league table. Meanwhile, Southeast Missouri dropped to 0-11-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play.

On Sunday, redshirt sophomore forward Eva Boer and senior forward Peyton Murphy led the offensive charge for the Screaming Eagles, scoring a goal each. Boer doubled her single-game high with a career-best eight shots in the match, placing four on target. Murphy had four shots with two on goal. Senior forward Emerson Grafton had a trio of shot attempts for the Eagles. As a team, USI outshot the Redhawks 19-7 overall and 7-3 in shots on goal.

To open the match, early defensive takeaways led to offensive looks for USI. Boer collected a turnover and placed the game's first shot on goal six minutes in. Just past the 20-minute mark, Murphy tallied a pair of shots toward the face of the goal; one was blocked, and another was saved by SEMO's goalkeeper.

USI's relentless pressure in the attacking half paid off in the 27th minute. A shot by Grafton was knocked down with a handball in the box, leading to an Eagles penalty kick. Murphy stepped up and cashed in on the penalty to put the Screaming Eagles in front, 1-0. It was Murphy's second goal of the season and 11th career goal as USI's D-I era scoring leader.

A few minutes later, Southeast Missouri built an attack that led to consecutive corner kicks. The Redhawks generated a long-range shot for their first attempt of the match, and USI redshirt junior goalkeeper Anna Markland made a diving save to her left and punched the ball away. Markland made another save during the sequence, as USI carried a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Screaming Eagles began the second half with a quick shot from Boer that was saved. After a few more attempts, Grafton had a rocket in the 57th minute bounce downward off the crossbar, but it did not cross the goal line. The score remained 1-0 in favor of USI.

Southeast Missouri got one of its best chances with less than 20 minutes remaining when a ball landed toward an open far side of the goal, but the USI defense was able to clear the ball out just in the nick of time. However, the Redhawks scored in the 76th minute to knot the game up, 1-1.

Less than five minutes later, the Screaming Eagles answered back after drawing a second penalty kick and converting. For the second penalty, Boer stepped up and struck the ball into the net to push the Eagles back ahead, 2-1. It was Boer's third goal of the season to tie for the team lead, as USI closed out the final 10 minutes to seal the win.

Before Sunday's kickoff, USI hosted its Senior Day ceremonies to celebrate its 2025-26 senior class. Junior Grace Bamber, who is graduating a year early, was recognized alongside seniors Anna Markland, Emma Thurston, Charli Grafton, Peyton Murphy, Payton Seymour, Emerson Grafton, Brynn Quick, and Deklan Larring.

TENNESSEE TECH 6, WESTERN ILLINOIS 1
COOKEVILLE, Tenn.
- The Tennessee Tech soccer team scored early and scored often as part of a dominating performance in a 6-1 victory over Western Illinois for Tech's first win of the season.

Lucia Cuadra stamped her name in the TTU record books with the program's ninth hat trick, becoming the sixth different Golden Eagle to find the back of the net three times in a single contest. TTU Sports Hall of Famer Jill Burns accomplished the feat four times throughout her Tech tenure. The hat trick was the first the Golden Eagle since Chloe Smith split the pipes three times in a 5-0 victory over Lindenwood in the OVC Tournament semifinals on Nov. 4, 2022.

Cuadra's race into the record books took place rapidly with all three scores occurring within an 11-and-a-half-minute span early in the first half. After Claire Palya scored on a corner 68 seconds into the match to give Tech the initial 1-0 edge, Cuadra went to work behind goals in the 9th, 15th and 20th minutes to tie the Golden Eagle individual record for scores in a match. The trio of goals were also the first three scores of the year for the graduate student out of Barcelona, Spain.

With Tech leading 4-0, Regan Smiley put the finishing touches on an explosive first half of Golden Eagle offense with her first goal of the year in the 29th-minute to cap off a five-goal first stanza. Smiley's score was the second of her career after first finding the back of the net as a freshman in 2022.

Tech (1-6-6, 1-0-2 OVC) continued its fireworks early in the second half thanks to an Allison Lee goal in the 49th minute for her first of the season and eighth in her career. The drive into the back of the net sealed the deal on a six-goal outburst to tie for the sixth-most goals in a single match in school history. The six goals were also the most for the program since splitting the pipes seven times in a 7-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Sept. 24, 2023.

Tech notched five different assists from five different Golden Eagles. Melina Hamm picked up the first helper of the afternoon with a corner that connected with Palya in the 2nd minute before Katie Toney and Natalie Howard each played a role in Cuardra's first goal in the 9th minute. Anna Baker collected her first career assist on Cuadra's last goal in the 20th minute on a lengthy over-the-top feed that fond Cuadra in the box. Cheyenne McCloud rounded out the five assists on Smiley's goal in the 29th minute.

The Leathernecks (1-12-0, 0-3-0 OVC) scored their lone goal at the tail end of the tilt thanks to a Claire Brown free kick that found the back of the net in the 87th minute.

Tech's 29 shots were a season-best and the most in a match since attempting 31 total tries in a 3-2 home victory over UT Martin on Oct. 12, 2023. Tori Soutuyo led the way with a career-high six bids.

The Golden Eagle defense set a season-low in shots allowed with only three WIU tries. Brown, Anaiya Morris and Perla Rios each took one attempt.

Senior keeper Maggie Conrad notched one save on the way to her 24th career win, while Ariel Bernard was kept busy with 14 stops.

EASTERN ILLINOIS 1, UT MARTIN 0
MARTIN, Tenn.
- Alex Tetteh scored early in the match on Sunday at UT Martin keeping her hot goal scoring alive as that goal stood up for a 1-0 Eastern Illinois road win.

Tetteh found the back of the net in the opening four minutes of the match scoring just 3:54 into the contest on an assist from Adison Welsh and Ella Onstott.  It was Tetteh’s fifth goal this week after she matched the Ohio Valley Conference and EIU record for goals in a match with four on Thursday at Western Illinois.

The Panthers defense made that one goal count as goalkeeper Ella Kratochvil turned away ten Skyhawks shots posting her fifth straight shutout in the net, including three straight OVC contests as the Panthers are now 6-4-2 overall, 3-0 in the OVC.

Unni Wolf and Alexandra Weihs both had two shots on goal for UT Martin which dropped to 1-5-6 on the season, 1-1-1 in the OVC.

EIU finished the match with 14 total shots including six shots on goal.  Tetteh, Onstott and Kylie Mahoney each had three total shots and one shot on goal each.
