Western Illinois held Purdue to a single first-half goal and continued to compete deep into the second half before the Boilermakers pulled away late. Despite being under heavy pressure, the Leathernecks back line continued to fend off shots from the Boilermakers who had 37 shots in total.

Several Leathernecks logged significant minutes against the Big Ten opponent. Simone Thorst played all 90 minutes, while Daniela Gularte, Hilary Halpin, and Ava Bell logged more than 70 minutes apiece.

RADFORD 2, MOREHEAD STATE 1
RADFORD, Va. - Recap coming soon.

SOUTHERN INDIANA 0, BELLARMINE 0
LOUISVILLE, Ky.
- University of Southern Indiana Women's Soccer claimed a third consecutive result on the road Sunday afternoon, battling Bellarmine University to a 0-0 draw.

With the scoreless draw, USI Women's Soccer (2-5-1) also posted its third straight shutout after recording a pair of 2-0 wins earlier in the week against Southern Illinois University and Valparaiso University. Meanwhile, Bellarmine (4-0-2) also maintained its unblemished record.

On Sunday, USI and Bellarmine added another chapter to the head-to-head history between the two programs, which dates to when both schools were in NCAA Division II and in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The USI defense stood tall in the early going when Bellarmine fired three shots in the first four minutes. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Anna Markland made an early save, and the defense blocked a pair of shots.

The Eagles' first shot came near the 24-minute mark when sophomore defender Emma Schut launched a shot off a corner kick that just missed. Another good chance for USI was just before the 36-minute mark when a shot by graduate midfielder Maggie Duggan went off the crossbar, keeping the game a scoreless deadlock going into halftime.

Bellarmine came out with some early pressure on the attacking end again to begin the second half, but USI's defense remained strong and turned away the Knights with a few more blocked shots. Markland also snagged another save.

Around the 70-minute mark, junior forward Grace Bamber had a pair of shots on goal saved by the Bellarmine goalkeeper. Down the stretch, redshirt sophomore forward Eva Boer had an attempt just miss high, while the defense continued to stay solid to take the 0-0 score into the final whistle.

While Bellarmine had 21 shots, the Screaming Eagles limited the Knights to only four shots on goal, all of which were saved by Markland. Plus, the USI defense blocked 11 shots on Sunday. Markland and the Eagles' defense have held opponents scoreless for the last 286 minutes of action through Sunday's game at Bellarmine.

Offensively, USI totaled seven shots with two on goal. Schut and Bamber tied for a team-high two shots, with Bamber leading with both shot attempts on target.

SAINT LOUIS 3, SIUE 0
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.
- SIUE's defense gave up two goals late to Saint Louis in the second half and dropped a 3-0 contest Sunday at Korte Stadium.

SIUE goalkeeper Sarah Bozeman recorded a career-high 10 saves. It was the most saves by an SIUE goalkeeper since the 2016 season.

Saint Louis, 5-2, scored its first goal at 9:34 on a 25-yarder that went upper left by Izzy Luebbert. The Billikens added second-half goals from Hope Kim and Adde Broesder.

Savannah DeFini recorded SIUE's lone shot in the second half. The Cougars had multiple opportunities in the offensive end, including three corner kicks.

EASTERN ILLINOIS 2, PURDUE FORT WAYNE 0
FORT WAYNE, Ind.
- Ella Kratochvil posted her eighth career shutout moving into seventh place on Eastern Illinois career list for shutouts as the Panthers collected a big road win on Sunday afternoon.  EIU beat Purdue Fort Wayne, 2-0.

Ella Dwyer scored what proved to be the match winner for the Panthers finding the back of the net in the 38th minute on an assist from Amelia Mundo.

EIU's goal stood up for most of the match before Abby Reinl scored for the fourth time this season in the closing minutes for the Panthers insurance goal.

The Panthers registered ten total shots in the match with Reinl firing off four of those with the last one finding the net in the 89th minute.

EIU's defense limited Purdue Fort Wayne to just two shots on goal with Kratochvil turned away for the clean sheet.

With the win EIU improved to 3-4-1 on the season.

Purdue Fort Wayne dropped to 1-4-1 on the year.

TENNESSEE TECH 0, KENNESAW STATE 0
KENNESAW, Ga.
- The Tennessee Tech soccer team had a great opportunity late against Kennesaw State as Anna Baker's shot in the 72nd minute glanced off the post and parallel to the goal line before an Owl defender knocked it away.

As the review confirmed the official's ruling, it proved to be a close call that was emblematic of Sunday's contest as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

While the Owls ended the match with a 14-8 advantage in shots overall, Tech controlled the pace in the second half and collected more tries on net with the Golden Eagles chipping seven shots on goal to KSU's five.

Maggie Conrad had an impressive save in the first half with a diving stop off the Owls' Rebecca Womer for KSU's best chance for a goal in the 31st minute. The Owls had a couple of early tries in the second half, but Conrad was able to nab the ball with ease to end the threat. Conrad finished the match with five saves.

Caroline Shaw had two shots on goal, while Ava Bradford, Womer and Julia Balchen each had one.

Katie Toney had three of Tech's seven shots on goal, with Baker, Lucia Cuadra, Melina Hamm and Eva Baker each getting an attempt on frame.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS 1, LINDENWOOD 0
ST. CHARLES, Mo.
- The Lindenwood women's soccer team (3-2-2, 0-0-0 OVC) dropped a tough non-conference match against Southern Illinois (6-1-0, 0-0-0 MVC) by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

After honoring seniors Ava Blum, Rachel Jackson, Lily Sutter, and Reece Ward prior to kickoff, the Lions came out playing with inspiration in the first half. Lindenwood outshot SIU 21-4 in the frame, surpassing their previous season-high for shots in game in the opening 45.

However, despite the persistent offensive pressure, the Lions were unable to find a goal, with Saluki goalkeeper Lily Murray making six saves in the half, including one on a Tasneem Dizdarevic penalty kick attempt in the game's 15th minute.

The script was flipped in the second half, as it was Southern Illinois on the front foot coming out of the break. Their early aggression paid off with a Aylie Haycock goal in the 52nd minute that gave the Salukis a 1-0 advantage.

Lindenwood was unable to find an equalizer, as they only managed to fire off three shots in the half with just one shot on goal.

Despite the defeat, Caroline Ritter had another solid showing in goal with eight saves.

Mackenzie Compton led the Lindenwood offense with six shots, while Tasneem Dizdarevic and Anna Johnson both posted a pair of shots on goal.

The loss ended the Lions' 10-game unbeaten streak at Hunter Stadium and dropped their all-time record against Southern Illinois to 1-1-1.

#15 MEMPHIS 1, UT MARTIN 0
MEMPHIS
- The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team allowed a goal in the opening minute of Sunday's match at 14th-ranked Memphis and that proved all the Tigers needed, as they held on for the 1-0 win at the Billy J. Murphy Soccer Complex in Memphis.

Memphis took the opening kickoff down the field where Ellis Kelly and Alex Mackay set up a play that allowed Elise Perron to knock the goal in the back of the net to give her team the 1-0 lead just 12 seconds into the contest. The Skyhawks then clamped down their defense and kept Memphis off the board for the remaining 89 minutes and 48 seconds of the match.

The Tigers placed 17 total shots in the game, with seven going on goal. For the Skyhawks, they had just one shot, that did go on target, from Shayla Addington. Memphis also had more set pieces in the game at 20-6, including outpacing the Skyhawks, 14-0, on corner kicks.

Aside from the early goal, Jordyn Riffle was nearly flawless in the match, shutting out the Tigers for the final 89 minutes and amassing six saves on seven shots on goal.
