PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mia Nicastro, F, Sr., 6-2, St. Charles, Mo. – Western Illinois
Nicastro averaged 27.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game across two contests. She shot 44.7 percent (17-38) from the field and an efficient 90.5 percent (19-21) from the free-throw line. The senior added two assists and two steals on the week. Nicastro reached the 1,000-point career mark.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Zy Thompson, F, R-So., 5-10, Zebulon, Ga. – UT Martin
Thompson nearly averaged a double-double on the week with 13.0 points and 9.5 rebounds/game. The redshirt-sophomore produced 12 points and 11 rebounds against Western Illinois before totaling 14 points and eight rebounds against Eastern Illinois. She shot 50-percent (8-16) from the floor and went 10-for-12 (.833) at the free throw line. Thompson Against recorded a career-high four blocks versus EIU.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Sidni Middleton, G, Fr., 5-10, Vilonia, Ark – UT Martin
Middleton averaged 14.0 points and nine rebounds per game last week. The freshman registered a career-high tying 25 points against Western Illinois and a career-best nine rebounds in each game. She was perfect at the free throw line against Western Illinois, going 9-for-9.
