MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State won its sixth-straight and 20th overall Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship, finishing with an aggregate of 4687. The Racers won the air rifle with a top score of 2373 on Sunday.
Morehead State came in second overall with a score of 4669 after firing a 2351 in air rifle while UT Martin followed in third at 4599. The Skyhawks compiled a 2307 on Sunday
Morehead State's Hayden Bell won the Air Rifle competition with a score of 598, edging Murray State's Carlotta Salafia who finished with a 597. The Racers Emma Lawrence (595), Caroline Martin (594) and Lea Soulé (587) rounded out the top five.
Murray State sophomore Carlotta Salafia earned her second consecutive Air Rifle Athlete of the Year award .
Soulé was named OVC Smallbore Athlete of the Year and also claimed the OVC Freshman of the Year.
Murray State's Alan Lollar was tabbed OVC Coach of the Year for the 11th time in his career.
