EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team opened Ohio Valley Conference play with a 0-0 draw against Southern Indiana Sunday at Strassweg Field in Evansville.

The two teams played somewhat evenly in the opening half, with each team getting two shots on goal out of six overall shots for Southern Indiana and five for UT Martin. However, in the second half, the Screaming Eagles got off nine shots, compared to just four by the Skyhawks. USI forced Mac Titus to make four saves in the second half, while the Screaming Eagles made just one.

After making six total saves over the full 90 minutes, Titus earned her second consecutive clean sheet and fourth of the season. Unni Wolf led the Skyhawks offensively in the game with four shots and two on goal, while Addy Cleary had the only other targeted shot of the day for UT Martin.

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 1, WESTERN ILLINOIS 0
MACOMB, Ill. - Southeast Missouri defeated Western Ill. 1-0 on Sunday. The Redhawks finished with a 16-5 shot advantage and put 11 shots on goal while holding Western Ill. to two.

Maya Domian's unassisted goal stood as the game-winner. Western Ill.'s goalkeeper made nine saves, while Natalie Allison needed two saves to complete the shutout.

Southeast Missouri generated all four recorded shots in a scoreless first half, putting three on frame but not getting past Western Ill. goalkeeper Mahee-Lee Caron. Alyssa Schulte forced a save in the fifth minute, and the Redhawks later kept pressure on from 20:34 to 29:16 with three corner kicks and shots from Maya Domian and Riley Henderson before the teams went to halftime tied 0-0.

Maya Domian scored in the 70th minute to give Southeast Missouri the only goal recorded in the second half. Earlier, Allison made two saves during a Western Ill. stretch, and the Redhawks answered with continued pressure, including five shots and two corners from 77:14 to 85:53. No further scoring was recorded before the half ended.

LINDENWOOD 3, MOREHEAD STATE 0
ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Lindenwood women's soccer team (5-4-2, 1-0 OVC) got off to a strong start in conference play with a 3-0 win over Morehead State (5-7, 0-1 OVC) at Hunter Stadium on Sunday afternoon. It was the second three-goal performance from the Lions in their last three contests.

Kaylee Conoyer opened the scoring in the 20th minute, sliding the ball into the far corner of the net after receiving a great cut back from Sami Roggenkamp, who had gained possession following another clinical pass from Mackenzie Compton on the right side.

The Lions took the 1-0 lead into halftime, outshooting the Eagles 6-3 in the period with a pair of shots on goal.

Lindenwood would double their lead less than three minutes into the second half, with Anna Johnson playing a ball into the box that was headed by a Morehead defender right to the feet of Sam Steele, who promptly delivered a strike into the far side of the net for her first goal of the season.

The Lions tacked on their third score of the afternoon at the 83:00 mark, as Mackenzie Compton got a clean look at the net after a misplay by the Morehead State keeper left the Eagles with no defenders between Lindenwood's leading scorer and her fourth goal of the season.

SIUE 4, EASTERN ILLINOIS 2
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE women's soccer exploded for four goals Sunday and opened the Ohio Valley Conference regular season with a 4-2 victory over Eastern Illinois at Korte Stadium.

Playing as the 66ers, SIUE outshot the Panthers 16-12 led by eight shots from Claire Nieroda.

Nieroda scored her fifth and sixth goals of the season to power the offense. She scored at 29:45 on a penalty kick after an Eastern Illinois player was determined upon video review to have committed a handball in the box. Nieroda went left on EIU goalkeeper Ella Kratochvil.

SIUE made it 2-0 at 32:34 on a perfect double pass from Nieroda and Amanda Dean to Imogene Joseph. It was Joseph's first career goal.

The 66ers stepped up early in the second half. MaryClaire Imig made a move on her defender from 20 yards out and snuck the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.

Eastern Illinois, now 2-5-3 overall, captured its first goal of the game at 49:52 on a shot by Abby Reinl.

SIUE returned the favor by putting multiple players in the six-yard box as Nieroda snapped her second goal into the net on a side pass from Imig.

The Panthers added the final goal at 81:06 on a 25-yard pass from Amelia Mundo ahead to Amara Leppla for the score.

SIUE's Baylor Lynch earned her first collegiate victory in goal with three saves.
