Goal
The primary purpose of the Ohio Valley Conference Communications Office is to serve as liaison between the OVC staff and our institutions with local, state and national media. We try to facilitate the requests of print and electronic media in order to ensure the best possible media coverage of OVC Championships, member-institutions and student-athletes. The department provides a wide range of other services to meet the ever-growing needs of media covering collegiate sports, as well as to assist other information-seeking organizations and individuals.

Releases/Email Blasts
All press releases produced by the OVC office can be found at OVCSports.com. Releases are also emailed out to the Conference media list. To be included in the release list, send an email to kschwartz@ovc.org or jgarcia@ovc.org. Please indicate if you want to receive a particular sports release, or all releases.
Media Days
Media Days are held for the sports of football (late July) and men's and women's basketball (late October).
Championship Credential Requests
The OVC office handles all credential requests the championship involving basketball, baseball and softball. Most other events are hosted by OVC schools and requests should be made to their sports information/media relations offices.
For the OVC Basketball Championship credentials are handled online through SportsSystems. A link to the online system is available each year in January through the Championship Page (a link is available at the top of OVCSports.com). The deadline to request credentials is Noon on the Monday prior to the Championship.
The credential request form for the OVC Baseball or Softball Tournament is generally available in late April/early May at OVCSports.com and the deadline for submitting your request is Noon on the Monday to prior the start of the tournament.
Interview Requests
Interview request for OVC staff members should be directed to Kyle Schwartz. Requests for Commissioner Beth DeBauche should be made at least one day in advance if possible.
Teleconferences
The OVC holds media Zoom calls during both football season. OVC football coaches can be heard on Tuesday mornings. The football Zoom begin the week prior to the start of the season and run into the FCS Playoffs.

Publications
The OVC produces record books on an annual basis for the sports of football (available in July), volleyball (available in August) and a combined mens' and women's basketball guide (available in October).
The office also maintains an OVC Record Book, which contains historical information and records for every OVC sport. That book is available only in a PDF version at OVCSports.com.
Logos and Photos
Logo for the OVC and member institutions, as well as head shots of conference staff and school administrators and coaches are available through the OVC Graphics Library.
Style Guide
The OVC office has put together a style guide, to provide media members the correct references and usage of school names, titles, etc. Access the Style Guide here.
