Kim Vieira, a member of the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) since 1984, assigns and evaluates soccer officials for all OVC member institutions since 1998.
Vieira has with vast experience in both coaching and officiating at the collegiate level. He currently serves as assignor for the Ohio Valley Conference (NCAA Division I), Great Lakes Valley Conference (NCAA Division II), Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA Division III), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA Division II), Great Midwestern Athletic Conference (NCAA Division II), The Mountain East Conference (NCAA Division II), The Crossroads League, (NAIA) and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (NAIA).
Vieira graduated from Indiana University and played collegiate soccer under Jerry Yeagley before assisting him and earning his degree in athletic administration from the institution. He spent 20 years coaching both men and women in intercollegiate athletics before devoting the majority of his time to officiating and assigning.
An active member of NISOA's leadership, Vieira has officiated at every level of NCAA soccer including stints in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Southeastern Conference, Big-12 Conference, the MAC, the Horizon League, the Summit League and Big-10 Conference. He has officiated the NCAA national championship match at each level and received several honors for his performance and leadership including the NISOA Distinguished Service Award in 1987 and 2002.
Vieira helped establish the Greater Iowa Chapter of NISOA in the late 80's and helped establish The Tristate United Soccer Officials Association (TRUSOA) chapter in 2011 which services parts of Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. Vieira was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in the summer of 2005.
