MOREHEAD STATE 5, MURRAY STATE 1
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -
Sixth-seeded Morehead State upset No. 3 Murray State, 5-1, in the first round of the 2014 OVC Soccer Championship. The Eagles advance to the semifinals to face No. 2 SIUE on Friday at 4 p.m. CT.

The Eagles scored three first half goals and added a pair in the second stanza.

Five different Morehead State players scored a goal. Jade Flory got the Eagles on the board as she netted her 13th score of the year in the 11th minute. Caity Fox scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick. Macy Cobb had a hand in a pair of scores as she assisted on Flory's goal and netted a goal of her own. Kelsey Gomez and Angela Black also got in on the scoring action for the Eagles.

Murray State's Harriet Withers netted the lone Racer goal to give her six for the season.

Morehead State goalkeeper Kaitlynn Murphy gave up just one goal and made seven stops while the Racers Shelby Haworth recorded eight saves in the match.

JACKSONVILLE STATE 1, UT MARTIN 1
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - 
Jacksonville State advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 OVC Soccer Championship on a shootout over UT Martin. The Gamecocks will now face No. 1 Southeast Missouri on Friday at 7 p.m. CT.

Jacksonville State got on got board first as Lindsey Jackson netted her fourth goal of the season in the 31st minute.

UT Martin's Saphyra Coombs-James tied the game early in the second half with her fifth score of the year.

The score would remain 1-1 through two overtimes sending the game into a shootout. The Gamecocks won the shootot on a 4-3 margin.

JSU goalkeeper Caroline Robinsin made eight saves in the match while UT Martin's Mariah Klenke also made eight stops.
