Eastern Kentucky Wins 2015 OVC Men's Tennis Championship

Eastern Kentucky won the 2015 OVC Men's Tennis Championship as the Colonels defeated Austin Peay, 4-2. It marks the Colonels first tournament title since 2012. EKU also earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will find out who they it will face on April 28.

EKU took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Alex Alvaro and Diego Asis defeated Aleksas Teverijonas and Aaron Jumonville (8-2) while Ramon Van Flyman and Diogo Soares earned the victory over Manuel Montenegro and Aleh Drobysh (8-4).

In singles action, Eastern Kentucky's Daridge Saidi defeated Jumonville in three sets (5-7, 6-3, 6-4) at the No. 3. EKU's Sebastian Mueller split the first two sets at No. 4 with Iago Sefferin and was leading the third set 5-1 before Sefferin retired. Juanjo De la Llera clinched the match for the Colonels as he defeated Aleh Drobysh, 6-4, 6-2.

Austin Peay earned points at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots.
